Building an Irish deals site (stardeals.ie) and looking for a few people to help post deals before launch.

Not looking for loads - just genuine bargains you'd share anyway. Will compensate for your time.

if you want to stay with VHI have a look at PMI 24 10 or PMI 48 10. If your looking at health guide 3 it’s a well priced private room plan, lots of places have 5% of health guide including totalhealthcover.ie if you want to save money on health guide.

I had a look this morning and it's got a nice hukd feel to it on the phone. 2 columns of info on the website seems a bit busy but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Best of luck

Good start but definitely needs a Categories filter prominently at the top.

(or if there is one, I didn't see it easily)

e.g. on HUKD I generally just go for the "Gaming" category

I think it's because the images are to the right of the text, so it looks like 4 columns whereas it is actually 2.

The image should really be above the Get Deal button, not to the right of it.

In fact they could probably go 3 columns wide with deals if they moved the image above the Get Deal button

The site has been live for almost a week now and i am really excited by the number of people who have signed up and added deals. Thank you to everyone who has joined.

I really want to make this a genuinely useful resource. So far, 56 sites have been tagged as “Made in Ireland”, which is amazing progress already.

A few users have already managed to gain enough points to level up (and i have paid out those Amazon vouchers).

I agree that i havn't got this right yet. I'm not a designer, so this is the area of the site i probably find most difficult. I will have a play around with some other options and see if i can improve the desktop layout of the site.

super site. But a lot of ‘noise’ there. Too many general ‘sales’ vs specific products that are a bargain. Unless it’s like a very rare sales where a brand never does a discount or something, or a really unique code.

Just xonstructive feedback as I want this to succeed.

Looking better - following on from my earlier comment had a little mess around in dev and tell me to piss of if you want but think something like this looks a bit more easier on the eyes to see. Think it makes it a bit more obvious this is all one section rather than the 4 columns as mentioned above as well
I'd probably expand the title to be full width and the like/dislike somewhere else, probably by the comments area
And good to see our Competition man (or woman) Gormal posting there
