I was asked if I was moved to a new department, with en entirely brand new team and an entirely brand new AP, a team with 0 experience, how would I make sure customer service is the main focus in the work the team is doing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 KJG88

That is VERY specific! I'm glad my questions followed my application form 😅 Like what would you even say to that? I know if they ask what you would do first if you're promoted to HEO and put in a new unit the answer is to meet with your AP to review the business plan, identify and resolve any knowledge gaps you might have and then focus on your leadership of your staff. But your question is insanely hypothetical!

Was anyone asked where they would like to work if they got Heo?

    Wondering if it's a good sign 🙈

You can email competitions and ask for your position on the panel for each of your location’s

Yes I was asked this question but I had already blanked on another question completely so doubt it was a good sign for me haha

Officially 4 weeks post interview now 🥲 don't suppose anyone's heard anything new regarding the delay in results?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8 SOK1921

I haven’t heard anything and as far as I’m aware our interviews for group 2 finished on the 17th October. Are group 3 interviews still ongoing? I really thought we’d hear by last week but I’m also not hopeful of hearing this week as there seems to be a lot of staff off…

Revnet hasn't been updated since 17 October, meaning it still says Group 3 interviews ongoing.

I wouldn't be holding my breath for Group 2 results this week, considering how many are off.

Has anyone emailed the competitions team to find out any more about when results for batches 2 and 3 will be out? Or even when those batches would have ended interviews?

Not a good sign if I didn't hear yet ...

    I'm batch 2 didn't get any results so I'm thinking I didn't get through.

    Congratulations to those that did

I haven't heard yet either. Hopefully they are going in alphabetical order

I got my email at 10.12, don't know it's being sent in alphabetical order or OOM but I placed high so it could be either.

They confirmed the panel ends in September 2027, best of luck to everyone waiting in their emails!

    Well done.

Im curious how you thought the interview went at the time? I'm group 3 soy nerves are gone waiting to hear.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22 Latetothegame

Didn't get it failed 1 competency which is unfortunate as I did well on the others

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 KleeBomb

Completely thought I failed at the time. I thought I came across as a massive bitch since I'm normally very soft spoken and agreeable, but I was advised to act a bit cocky. I didn't know the answer to a question about an acronym that I'd never come across and I just told them I wasn't familiar with it, the guy pressed it so I said I'd like to move on to the next question as I'd given my answer, thought I'd be failed on that alone!

Has anyone from group 3 received results yet??

Got my results. Thought I failed as leadership competency I thought went terrible but I'm I ended up getting great scores. Does anyone know is your place on the panel based on the batch you were in or your overall place ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19 okeydokey72

I would have thought that it is the overall panel. Email says ' you have been placed xx on this panel' and references E6630. That said it isn't exactly clear.

as far as I know from talking to my HEO and seeing panels from previous competitions on the circulars, it seems like the OOM is from the group panel so like group 1 will have a panel from 1 to xyz number, then group 2 will have a panel from 1 to xyz number and so on. So OOM is probably from the group’s panel?

Anyone that got through, did you interview run over? Hoping that's a good sign

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 Cmoy

My interview lasted 40 minutes exactly. Started at 10 and I was disconnecting from the call at 1040. I knew I started very badly as I blanked on the first question but I did think I recovered well and ended up getting quite good scores while in my head I was 5050 about even passing. Every question in my head I could have answered better when looking back but I think we all beat ourselves up after an interview especially a competency based one.

Thanks. im sick with nerves wondering if I passed. Did they ask you any questions about if you get HEO etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 cocopoco

I failed. I have sat multiple interviews and always given similar examples each time. Except to different ears who grade them based on their opinion. Today I failed on competencys that I scored highly on in previous HEO interviews. Best of luck to those who passed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 Cmoy

I was asked what would be the first thing you would do as a new HEO in a completely new role where i have no experience in. Gave a quick answer of find out my roles and responsibilities which should be documented up on Sharepoint and if not documented it would be my first action to as a new HEO to have this for myself and the wider team. I still dont know if this is a good answer to be honest.

You weren't the only one there pal. I failed on a competency that I and others have always considered my strongest. Good scores in all previous comps. Passed everything else finally. Felt after the interview that I might have had this one in the bag.

Well done to all who passed.
