Seapoint was bustling with seaswimmers today. I was in for a dip myself and while it is definitely cooler than it was last month it is still pretty comfortable.

Very wet in Cork now. Probably yellow warning threshold if it keeps up

No it’s not it. Lots of snow and frost to come over the next 4 months 😛

Dear god don't say that, frost I can live with once it's not icy as I cycle to work, snow no, as we just cannot handle snow in this country. I still have nightmares over November/December 2010.

I felt the cold today for the first time since March/April. Definitely time for the mountain socks to go on. I highly recommend them. Warm feet goes a long way to a warm body.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

There was a real chill in the air this afternoon in the breeze. Felt like late March.

Oh man, I am 11 posts in and need 50 posts to post on most forums. God help me.

Weather is very cold, I like poster above suggesting socks, wooly socks is what I go for especially to sleep , best ever. Wind and air in Dublin was very cold entire day today.

Wtf is going on? Currently in the middle of a vicious storm in Co Waterford. Trampoline and Starlink have gone flying. Went outside to assess the situation and had to venture back inside as I at 100kgs was being blown over.

Managed to retrieve the Starlink but it's in ****.

Nothing on the rte or boards websites as far as I can see.

    It's insane.

Had just noticed Thursday was the first single figure max of the season so far (just abouts) with 9.8C. This was the earliest single digit max here (Dublin Airport data) since 2012 which occurred on October 15th.

Wet and breezy today in Castlebar. Not sure what it is but year in year out May seems to be my favourite month.

Windy tonight. Recent gust 87km/h Malin.

We had a bit of a rogue gust of wind in South Wicklow at around 12am it was bizarre. It built in intensity as it passed and lasted about 10 seconds. It blew over a few very heavy pots I have, these stayed standing during storm Amy, and it knocked a couple of sturdy wooden screens I have on my deck. I don't see anything remotely strong on any observations so just some weird local event. It was gusty during the night afterwards but only in the 50-60kmh range so no idea what that was!

Losing the hour of light in the evening is tough. It rules out several post work activities. A time to adapt behaviours.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Extra hour of light in the morning, and the weather is usually better early in the day.

I love the extra hour in the morning and you feel great for the day having got a walk, run, cycle or gym in

It's one of the main reasons I hate BST. We'd have much longer mornings for much of the year instead of the last 3/4 weeks of darkness. Sadly we get a little bump now and then back to darkness at the end of Nov until late Feb.
