What’s a movie you can rewatch a hundred times and never get bored?

We all have that one movie (or maybe a few) that we can watch over and over — no matter how many times we’ve seen it, it still hits the same way.

What’s that movie for you? And what makes it so rewatchable — the story, the vibe, the nostalgia, or just the comfort of it?

It was on TG4 last night.

    Martin Scorsese's The Last Waltz.

The music, the legends, the vibes, the nostalgia.

Any chance of sharing your own favourites?

Personally, I'm one of those people who watches a film once and after that will switch away with a 'saw it!".

I'm curious to see what films somebody could watch multiple times .

The Godfather trilogy (yes, even part 3!)

    Aliens

    Tron legacy

    Interstellar

Die hard (every second Christmas at least)

    Superbad

Good Will hunting (don’t Want as much but love it everytime)

    Con Air

    Edge of tomorrow

All completely different movies I can enjoy over and over again for different reasons

A lot of the Oscar or more respected movies I enjoy are usually one time or maybe two or three time watch.

Ah I find them fine tbh. They have some of the best scenes, the kitchen one with the raptors in particular!

    A Good Year

Panned by the critics, bombed at the box office, but I love it. A great cast including Marion Cotillard in her prime and with a bit of attitude. Provence, wine, gentle humour and a couple of life lessons thrown in for good measure. I`ll watch it at least once every winter.

I can rewatch Double Jeopardy if it turns up on TV, I don't seek it out as such though for a rewatch. Love a good comeuppance in a film and this one has it!

The Green Mile and Shawshank are two movies that if I happen to spot them on TV, I'll flick them on and then suddenly 2 hours have passed.

Aliens and Die Hard (1-3) would fit that bill too. The 90s are full of great crime/thriller movies with great casts that you can just sink into.

    Zoolander.

    Trainspotting

but the one I've probably rewatched most is the Snapper.

Too many to mention but here's my top 10 in no particular order:

    The Field

    Die Hard

    Pulp Fiction

    First Blood

    Heat

    Predator

    Terminator 2

    No Country for Old Men

    Dirty Harry

    Jaws

Usually Christmas films (I'm a Christmas nut), so Home Alone, The Holiday, Elf, Miracle on 34th Street 😀

There are non-Christmas films too….maybe Mrs Doubtfire, Shawshank Redemption, Halloween (the original)….random selection I know. I think it's just the comfort and familiarity.

    12 Angry Men

    Shawshank

    V for Vendetta

Die Hard 1&3 - not so keen on 2.

    Back to the Future Trilogy

    The Rock

Every christmas I watch the following movies, its tradition now, partly inspired by my Dad: The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Great Escape, Casablanca,

Maybe its because I'm from the UK but Battle of Britain ticks all the boxes and I must have watched it 50 times. First time when I was 9, went to see it as a school trip.

Edit OMG I spelt Britain as Briton - the shame.
