Hi, where on revnet did you see that?

    Thanks.

It's in a section called careers in revenue. Mentions the status if current open and internal competitions

Hi, I had found that but status of current internal HEO Nationwide says group 1 interviews ongoing and was last updated 27th June 25. ???

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify — when you mentioned they’re interviewing 400 candidates, is that the total number they plan to interview overall, or is that just up to batch 3?

Click into a section called Authorisations or Revenue Authorisations. When you click into that section, you'll see Careers in Revenue along the side as another section. Click into that, and it states that the internal one was last updated on friday.

    Saw that too.

    It’s a different section.

RevNet → Info Hub → Human Resources → Other → Careers in Revenue

Apologies, I could never use Revnet at the best of times, apart from the TDMs, so I came across that yesterday by clicking into different sections. Apologies I do not know the direct link, other than clicking into authorisations first

400 candidates within the first 3 groups they are looking at group 4 in November/December but if they do group 4 is a different story

if you search circulars under revnet And click the option “circulars - csd - confluence” it will bring you straight to the competitions wiki page

Hi Folks, Do you think it is financially worth moving from an EO to an HEO when i would be paying more tax

As group 1 have already received their results, is it therefore impossible for someone from group 2 or group 3 to finish with a higher OOM number than someone from group 1? Not fully sure how that would work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 KJG88

I asked my AP about this because I was a bit confused. He told me each batch has their own OOM's and anyone successful in Batch 1 will be placed before anyone successful in Batch 2/3/4/etc. Essentially, the ChatAssess task ultimately determined how much of a chance you have of early placement instead of your actual merit and experience 🥲

So essentially there are separate panels for each group and they work their way down through them from 1 - 3 or 4?

Makes sense I suppose. Cheers for clearing that up for me!

Just on the topic of the panels per group, I presume the panels are going to be essentially “nationwide”? So even if you’re not in the first panel but all of your location on the first panel have been exhausted, people from subsequent panels will then start getting called if they have the required location specified?

That would make sense, although I'm not sure! I've only received very basic information despite my many attempts to figure out the process haha :) I just wish they'd release Batch 2 already because then it might all be much clearer. I have a sneaking suspicion it could be this afternoon - I feel like results are always on Wednesdays but that could just be wishful thinking

I don’t even know where I would source the information officially, I don’t want to be seen to be canvassing when I’m not, and also am mindful of how many others could be contacting them too! I was group 3 so I’ve a while to wait yet. Any idea what date the group 2 interviews finished? A few of us ended up getting dates that were ahead of group 2 candidates but theirs had been scheduled already so we’d no clue of when group 2 officially finished. A friend of mine that was group 1 told me on a Thursday morning of her results but I’m presuming they were issued the Wednesday evening prior to that? I’ve never seen the emails go out first thing in the morning for any competitions really.

so batch 1 got an overall OOM and then you request your location oom. You could be 50th overall in batch 1 but 3 in location! There could be a total of 12 in batch 1 for your location.

Batch 2 you get an overall oom maybe 5th for location. The 12 in your location from batch 1 will be placed and they will then pull from batch 2 they will pull 4 in that location before you and then you.
again batch 3 if yours in overall 50th and location 10th and there’s 30 for your location in batch 2 then the 12 from batch 1, then the 30 for your location from batch 2 and then the 9 on front of you and then you and keeps working up in batches.

    hope that makes sense.

ah yes that makes sense. But say they’ve gone through all my location in batch one and two and get to batch 3 for my location but other locations are still in batch 1 or 2, some of the batch one or two candidates could end up placed on a later date than batch three? It’s not a concern for me but more of a general curiosity of how it works. Like if other locations are slower the batch 1 candidates for those locations could be still waiting for assignment but my location could already have assigned the relevant candidates from all panels?

yes because it’s based on location.

Someone in batch 1 with overall oom 30 but location for let’s say cork with a location merit of 5 might still be waiting to be placed whereas you’ll see people in people in batch 3 being placed as there location is Dublin and therefore need more HEOs. I will never understand why they don’t just do a location OOM and not overall..
why not do a separate Dublin panel and then a location merit for all the slower counties.
But regarding the OOM that’s how it previously worked for PAS so I’m assuming the revenue internal will follow the same model.

ah okay yeah that’s what I was thinking, makes sense but also doesn’t! I remember when I first joined through an open competition I had been emailed my OOM for each of my two chosen locations instead of an overall OOM, that would make so much more sense to do in general.

It might not be initially depending where you are on the EO scale but will definitely be worth it for your pension

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 drinkrainwater

Is today the day for group 2? Was sure results would come yesterday!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22 Latetothegame

Hopefully!! Taking too long. My nerves can't take any more haha

It shows a complete lack of compassion and consideration by competitions. Not surprised either. Group 1 got results in reasonable time. It must be well over a month since first group 2 interview with last one a week ago or so. Are they waiting for group 3 to finish? Maybe everyone should email competitions and perhaps they'll give in to pressure. I already have but got a polite pfo.

Does anyone know of anyone still to sit a group 3 interview? Had mine this week so wondering how much longer they're going on for
