Also, I'm curious here... Why did you list the below countries - what on earth do they all have to do with each other or with Israel?? Seems random unless I'm missing something...

But oddly enough they don’t say the same about Pakistan or Jordan, much less the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The israeli settlements in Gaza were illegal as are the ones in the West Bank. Are we supposed to support illegal actions by israel now,? Says alot about the posters that support this.

They’re all countries that were born out of violence and mass displacement of indigenous populations. Pakistani and Jordan happened at much the same time as Israel, and if the Arabs have a right to return to what is now Israeli then so too must all those displaced from Pakistan and Jordan - the latter including many Jews now living in Israel.

As for the other four, I’m always fascinated by wealthy US and similar protesters calling for globalisation in the intifada while never for a moment thinking that by the same logic they should have to go back to Italy or Germany or Ireland.

Once again Israel shows the entire world why you cannot believe a word their government says.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

...along with all who said "release the hostages and this will end" and still hypocritically show support for these attacks. Disgraceful.

This is a bizarre reading of the situation in Gaza. Gaza is an oppressed and occupied colony of Israel, with its population forbidden from leaving the enclave and yet somehow they are the real oppressors and the ones carrying out ethnic cleansing.

You have literally referred to Israelis there as "settlers" i.e. members of the colonial occupying class.

When Israel killed peace negotiators in a third country which resulted in Netanyahu getting smacked by Trump and forcing them to abandon their disastrous invasion of Gaza which failed to defeat a lightly armed militia.
It’s a complete humiliation for Israel.

Firstly it's alledged war criminals and secondly it's alledged genocide.Nothing has been proven except in the minds of those who hate Israel.

It's also 70,000 not 100,000 and going on the premise that 20% of those are Hamas terrorists, that gives 56000 approx who Hamas have used as human shields and hidden among in its acts of terrorism.

One thing I'm not supporting is a proscribed terrorist organisation who have made it very clear they don't want a 2 state solutions and whose sole pursuit is the destruction of Israel and the people who voted them in which you and the majority of posters on this thread are doing.

Give it a rest with the human shields nonsense. No one believes that all those civilians were just standing beside terrorists when they killed. It's frankly embarrassing at this stage.

Bibi will most likely remain an accused war criminal as he will dodge going to court but continue to support the country that shields him from that court.

Remember the three tiers of defence. You're being hit with a combined attack here -

1 - You just hate Jews

2 - What about Sudan, myanamar, pakistan, the 1966 world cup final?

3 - You just hate Jews.

More than 100 air strikes were reported in Rafah and Khan Younis in the south, Jabalia in the north, and parts of central Gaza. Some ceasefire eh!

The settlements were illegal - that's why they weren't allowed. And the ICJ has confirmed the position and told Israel to leave all occupied territories and pay reparations.

You should write a letter to Raytheon with your tips on how to make a rocket from a bit of hosepipe, some twine and a couple of pitchforks. I'd say they'd pay you a few bob for saving them billions in R&D and manufacturing costs.

Looks like Trump will have to scratch off one of his solved wars and start again .

This looks like a test of wills between Trump and Israel. There are lots of little green reasons for him to see it their way.

Aside from the breaking of the ceasefire by Israel, seems some can see the writing on the wall. Massive failure by Israel and destined to be a Pariah for decades.

"Qatar, the country that served Hamas before and after October 7 as a source of funding and propaganda, and Turkey of the Muslim Brotherhood, are now in charge of "the day after" in Gaza, instead of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

This situation is a real security threat to Israel.

And it isn't a technical error, it's a result of a continuation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy of dereliction of duty.

It's a very serious diplomatic failure on his part, which isn't the result of an oversight, but of a deliberate and conscious policy"

    Who do you believe?

    • The U.S. State Department warned the countries that helped mediate Trump's cease-fire deal that it received "credible reports" that Hamas plans to attack Palestinians in Gaza, and that "measures will be taken to protect the people of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the cease-fire" if necessary.
    • Hamas denied the claimblaming Israel for arming and funding "criminal gangs" that murder and looting aid trucks. According to Hamas, local police forces in Gaza are attempting to "chase these gangs down" with widespread civilian support.

People rally round the flag when a war starts. That’s a primal response in every country no matter how dire the government, eg in the Soviet Union in 1941 and also in Iran in 1980 when pilots released by the regime ran to their planes to defend the homeland against Saddam Hussein.

Here's the truth - Israel doesn't want their bodies back - it gives them US approval to continue their Genocide.

"If Netanyahu really wants to speed up locating the slain hostages, he must let in teams ready to help.

Senior U.S. officials spoke last week of a team of dozens of Turkish experts with years of experience searching and rescuing victims of earthquakes who are interested in helping to find bodies in Gaza.

Even earlier, Gal Hirsch said there was supposed to be a joint Turkish-Qatari-American team that would help find bodies.

However, now there is no mention of Turks or Qataris doing the job.

A foreign source, who is in touch with Hamas and the Trump administration, said the Turks sent 81 search and rescue experts to Gaza, but that Israel won't admit them"

Only hamas and it's allies to blame for that. What did they think would happen when they fired at IDF positions. They're not exactly going to have the red carpet rolled out for them. I don't hear Turkey, Qatar and Egypt protesting Israel's response

So, ceasefire well and truly over. There's gonna be back and forth over whose "fault" it is but the poor citizens of Gaza will continue to pay the ultimate price.

Isreal have already said their stated aims, all you need to do is just tick the "return of hostages" off that list. The'll probably welcome the opportunity to slaughter those prisioners that they've already released and attempt to take over the whole landbank.

Trump has already shown his impotenence with regards to Isreal - unless there's some significant pushback within the US on what is happening in the Middle East (and in fairness they have enough domestic issues caused by Trump) its not gonna be a great few months ahead for Gaza.

    Absolutely, Hamas couldn't resist.

By any measure, Israel’s response is not helping the situation. When it comes to Palestinians maximum violence is their default position.

If an individual fired on them, and they must have seen them when that's their story, fire back, and take em out. Don't sent 100 missiles into the so called safe zones. Israel want any excuse to start this war again.

Well, it did take a 65 tonne Merkava Battle tank with a crew of four to execute a five year old girl.

And a load of Apache Attack helicopters to execute their own citizens fleeing for their lives from the music festival.

Israel is a warmonger. They only understand military power as a means to achieve pice.

That's why they are known around the world as terrorist Genocidal state and Pariah.

No Peace Prize next year either. He'll drag Bibi to the ICC himself.

Clearly, the flat whites were Hamas:

    Israeli statement (BBC)
Over the past few hours, in response to the blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement earlier today (Sunday), the IDF struck dozens of Hamas terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip.

The targets struck included, weapons storage facilities, infrastructure used for terrorist activity, firing posts, terrorist cells, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.

The IDF also struck and dismantled six kilometers of underground terrorist infrastructure, using over 120 munitions. The underground site was used by the terrorist organization to advance attacks against the State of Israel.

The Hamas terrorist organization blatantly violated the ceasefire agreement this morning.

The IDF will continue to respond firmly and will operate to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.

    Also from the BBC

A doctor at al-Aqsa Hospital said nine bodies and several wounded were brought in after three separate strikes that hit a small seaside cafe set up inside a tent on the beachfront of al-Zawaida, a quiet coastal town between Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, and a building in Nusirat refugee camp.

Israel just can't help themselves. They couldn't wait to get back murdering. As I keep saying - they have a blood lust. I can see the Houtis hitting them again and maybe even Iran.
