    2-0 or 3-0 Liverpool.

I was thinking the same. We will e competitive but their quality will get them over the line. What i really hope is we keep them scoreless until we'll into the 2nd half and hope the fans get anxious and we then catch them on the break...that would be sweet

Loving The optimism of some United fans, its a great game for Liverpool to put an end to their bad run, their talent and quality , our topsy Turvey form should mean a Liverpool win... but hoping a funny oul game some how happens

International breaks should be declared a hate crime by The Hague.

If Lammens has a good game today it will be massive. He’ll need to pull off some quality saves if Utd are to have any chance

2-1 Utd win today. Ben and Mount to score. GGMU

Nothing like the international break to build up a bit of optimism again. Hearts says 1-2 United, head says 3-1 Liverpool...

    2-0.

Don't see us laying a glove on them. It might be worse if we actually put in a poor effort. No hope today.

i reckon liverpool win, and the issues will be self selected - a midfield pair of bruno and case, and then probably going with Dalot over Amad at rwb. I'd guess Cunha on hte bench with Mount at 10 too.

Shame Ange went before we faced his Forest. That woulda been very handy next weekend.

Who would you rather in the midfield 2?

Also, do you think Cunha should start over Mount? I don't, Mount has been ine of our best players this season.

Plus look at his record v Amorim. 3 wins from 3.

Only an optimist could see Utd getting something out of this fixture.

2016 the last time we won at Anfield.... Can't see it changing today.

Bruno at CM is siimply a disater. pick any other two.

and then the combo of mount at 10, bruno at 8, with dalot over Amad at RWB just neuters our attack too much. Mount doesn't offer enough creatively or offensively going forward - he helps our dedfensive shape immensely, but we will be left with Mbeumo and Sesko as our only offensive outlets.

I would like to see us play Mount at 8 instead of bruno, and Amad at RWB. I think Mount is far more suited to the role in how he plays and his defensive intelligence.

I'd like to see Mainoo at 8 ahead of Bruno cause I think he is also better suited to it. He has issues in speed - but he undderstans the CM role better.

But Bruno won't be dropped. and won't be moved (and it is why we are going to lose Mainoo for a pittance in 7 months, right when he should be taking over from Bruno.)

And if I remember we were very lucky win it.

Although they were best ones too. 2007 comes to mind also.

I’d bite me hand off for a draw today.

    Here’s hoping.

That's a terrible line up. De ligt, maguire and Shaw back line. Nothing learned. Dalot lwb. Nothing learned.

That lineup is a sackable offence

No sesko? Must be international fatigue / injury related surely

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,874 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

So probably Mount false 9. Playing for a draw.

Poor Sesko playing himself into form and then dropped.

    These lineups.

I just don't want a really stupid mistake leading to a goal after a good 20-30 minutes, hopefully we actually have a bit of luck in front of goal would be nice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 576 ✭✭✭Seattle

I can see the logic in starting Mount, Cunha and Mbuemo as the front 3. Liverpool will play a high line and leave space behind, which that front 3 exploited very well against Arsenal on the opening day of the season. Sesko is great as an aerial option v low blocks, but Liverpool won't be playing like that today.

Dalot is starting so you can forget about that.
