what jumped out at me re all the visiting , parliment appearances , whitcoff , et al address at the hostages square meeting , etc, etc, are ALL Israeli based, Israeli directed . AND not a thought spared for the SUFFERING Palestinians and their dead. Nobody thought about putting a foot in Gaza to witness at first hand the physical destruction caused

Hardly surprising, this peace deal is just about Israel and of course Trump,it's great that the hostages that haven't been killed by Israeli indiscriminate bombing are free but Israel will no doubt find a reason to carry on to some degree with or without Trump .

That's the sort of approach that caused Harris to lose the election. Just because the Mooch was part of Trump's circle doesn't mean he couldn't be useful to the Democrats now, or useful to anyone that wants to get away from the Trump era. The only way the Democrats can win is if they start reaching out to everyone that's anti-Trump, not just the traditional Democrats or left-wing loons. Create a broad party of different backgrounds that can compete against Trump's torrent of lies.

Looking at Last week tonight, the US has just crossed the Rubicon with this Paramount/CBS merger. Ellisson installing this Bari White character as head of News, who is a full on Right wing/zionist dressed up as a liberal to pretend she has some middle ground credentials. The US will now have Fox, OAN, Newsmax and CBS spewing forth MAGA lies unchallenged whilst CNN and MSNBC have toned down their pushback. The place is well and truly fcuked.

Showing no grace at all - its all about total victory - as he sees it. He's praising Trump to the heavens - which is fair enough - but will the peace last.

Yes, he faffed about, and clearly this is a deal that the Israelis were happy to accept at this time, rather than the same deal under Biden, but it still comes down to Trump getting this over the line.

Well,

He should be going back to court to face an indictment for bribery & fraud (he's currently subject to 3 separate investigations) but he's punted again this week saying that he's "really busy" this week with vital meetings with the Cypriot PM.

He's been using the Gaza situation to avoid being deposed for his indictment so in theory , if peace does indeed prevail then he'll have to go to Court and fight the charges.

The prevailing wisdom is that they have him dead to rights and he'll get convicted and jailed if the trial ever takes place.

Now of course , if the peace deal were to collapse for some reason , Netanyahu could again delay the trial due to "exigent circumstances" as he has been doing for an extended period.

So.. Does Netanyahu got to court and then likely jail , or will there be some reason why the peace deal collapses thereby keeping him free and in power?

Who knows what might happen??

Nothing really changes for Israel, but for Palestine recognition by multiple western states has given them optimism that wasn't there before.

Another aspect is that Iran hit several key military targets of the Israeli state, so the iron dome sense of security isn't there anymore.
