Of course they have. They're responsible for Hamas butchering, raping and torturing 1200 of their citizens and taking 251 hostage. Israel "made" them do it .

I suppose 100,000 dead Palestinians in the last two years makes me think of genocide. What does it make you think of or do you only count Israeli deaths including those murdered by the IDF on October 7?

Where we are now are UN pleas for baby formula, food, medicines, medical aid, cancer treatment drugs, prosthetics, toilets, drinking water, clothing, and some kind of shelter before the Winter.

The UN estimated that 92 percent of all residential buildings in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed since the war began, and hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians have been forced to live in tents and other makeshift shelters.

Rajagopal noted that tents and caravans were meant to be delivered to Gaza during a ceasefire early this year but “almost none” of them was allowed in due to Israel’s strict blockade.

“That is really to me the crux of the issue right now. Even immediate relief and aid to the people of Gaza is not possible unless Israel stops controlling all the entry points. That is essential,” the UN expert told Al Jazeera.

The Palestinians are marching home. They are not going to leave their land. You will have to murder them all. You seem to understand and support that?

What do the protesters in Hostage Square go home to?

Some Palestinians have had an Oct 7th every day since 1948. Israel killed many of their own on Oct 7th. Israel has been raping and butchering Palestinians too. Israel has lots of blood on its hands.

I wouldn't trust Bibi either ,given he broke the previous ceasefire back in March and we see the ceasefire in Lebanon being violated daily. Since you have no skin in the game, you'd surely be suspicious of Bibi's intentions too.

Seeing hundreds of Palestinians men women and children, on foot, in cars, and on laden down carts streaming resolutely northwards in Gaza passing totally destroyed buildings as they go - They plan to get to their homes and on finding those homes demolished and streets obliterated are still hopeful of rebuilding their lives and lands - The television news then goes back to the powerful be suited men who hold these lives in their hands and plans - and it’s obvious where humanity lies - it’s with the walking thousands.

    And on the flip side

I've no skin in the game. A ceasefire is great. I just don't trust Israel to keep to the original terms.

They are a strong resilient people who refuse to be jack-booted into oblivion. Fair play to them.

The fact that hundreds of thousands have returned to Gaza City and the places where they formally lived is very encouraging - shows they see their future in a rebuilt Gaza and not elsewhere.

And you shouldn’t conflate a comment with belief.

Absolutely, 80k casualties over 2 years of urban warfare do show remarkable levels of restraint, considering Israeli capabilities and Palestinian population density.

Sure Brendan. I suppose now you will claim your original comment was expressing skepticism:) if you had adhered to your forensic examination standards you wouldn't have made that comment to begin with. Do keep doubling down, though, rather than admit your mistake.

Anti-genocide supporters chant Viva viva Palestina in Oslo.

Protests erupted in Oslo ahead of the Norway vs Israel World Cup qualifier, reflecting tensions surrounding the match. Demonstrators gathered to express their political views and call for action on international issues.

In Oslo, Norway, nearly nineteen thousand children killed in Gaza’s ongoing genocide were remembered in a powerful vigil at the Vega Scene art center. Norwegian artist Vibeke Harper and artistic director Hege Aga Edelsteen led the “Gaza Vigil,” reading the names of 18,459 Palestinian children who lost their lives between October seventh, twenty-twenty-three, and July thirty-first, twenty-twenty-five. The event, now in its third year, honored every life lost — from a ninety-nine-year-old to a baby only one hour old. Organizers called the tragedy “a genocide” and urged the world to act. The Oslo vigil stands as a haunting reminder of humanity’s shared grief and moral responsibility.

What urban warfare? Probably 95% of civilians were killed by Israeli air strikes and drone strikes - very few were caught up in battles between Hamas and the IDF.

If you are trying to imply that Israel went easy on Palestinians then you are terribly wrong but I know that you don't even believe that. The numbers of people dead, missing limbs, psychologically damaged is much higher. Anyway as you have been previously told (and your thanker, SeanW) genocide is not really a numbers thing.

Another genocidal apologist just saying 'it is not too bad'

They even left hidden recordings of children crying to tempt people to go out and try to help them and then shot those who did. Moral army indeed. Pure murdering cowards.

Its great to see you back posting so prolifically today, we got really worried when you disappeared after being called out 2 days ago.

You remember? You claimed that it was only anti Israelis that were against the peace deal. Two posters linked articles showing Smotrich saying he would vote against the peace deal and asked if he was also anti Israeli, and you ignored it. You resurfaced later that day ignoring those 2 posts (you were quoted in them so you can’t have missed it). I replied to that post asking if you’d engage with the comments put to you previously and you disappeared again, only to resurface today having not addressed them again. You really expect people to take you seriously?

Fading in and out of the thread and when cornered you disappear. It’s getting so tiring. Time and again, posters (miniegg and dmcdona deserve special credit here for their seemingly unending patience) put well researched sources to you people and it’s never enough. Everybody is wrong. But you somehow cannot produce anything to back it up.

We shouldn’t get so annoyed by it, we should be used to it by now. It is very tiring though when yourself and adayinthebog and Brendan and the rest show up with little to no sources or actual facts, throw accusations around and then just tell someone questioning you to “google it, I’m not doing your research for you”.

    Tiring.

This story circulated in 2024 from the propaganda outlet "Quds News Network." A Hamasnik on here posted it. This story was debunked back then, but seems the same lie is being trotted out again.

Still no opening of the Rafah crossing to let the aid trucks in. Israel is a bitter little country with no understanding of the word humanity. Shekels and self-interest 24 hours a day.

It's not yet clear how many trucks have entered southern Gaza since the ceasefire in the Palestinian territory took effect on Friday.

It's not a genocide and the number of casualties is low, it's no apology, it's the reality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,445 ✭✭✭Cordell

They went easy indeed. After the 7th of October genocide (every attack is a genocide now right) Israel could have done a lot worse, and actually there were voices asking for a lot worse. They could have achieved orders of magnitude higher numbers in days.

BBC are reporting a flotilla of aid trucks have begun entering Gaza.

Under the ceasefire agreement, "full aid" is supposed to enter the territory immediately.

In its most recent update on Thursday, Cogat - the Israeli military body overseeing the entry of aid into Gaza - said 500 trucks had entered the territory of which around 300 were distributed by the UN and other organisations.

Dozens of aid trucks enter Gaza as Starmer prepares to join Trump at Egypt ceasefire summit - live - BBC News

Good news, now for prisoner releases from both sides and further de-escalation.

They're dead women and kids, not mere casualties and they were genocided, by your pals in Israel.

Hamas is going to be disbanded and hand over the weapons. Then a police force will be set up to assist the peacekeepers from Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Indonesia and Turkey. Then hopefully work on the two state solution and borders get underway over time.

They are casualties of war, a war their side started and escalated. Stop watching and spreading Pallywood propaganda.

Anyone claiming "the war started on October 7th" is just showing a monumental degree of ignorance and non education.
