Some great conditions on FM and DAB - Getting a "Freedom FM" on 99.5 up here in the North East, but not the same content as the DAB Freedom - Also Getting Dublin South on 93.9

Edit.. Freedom must be prepping another FM run and 99.5 is Wicklow as 105.2 has also been energised

Freedom on 105.2 making it to the Pembrokeshire west coast with careful pointing of the telescopic aerial to get rid of Heart

99.5 is a no no as Radio 1 is so strong there.

    C103 a cracking signal on 103.1

All the DAB stations good again today .

Sounding well on 88.1, 99.5, and 105.2 in Tallaght area. They officially start Monday 00.01 so then they will be live. Music on all frequencies until then.

    C103 have no transmission on 103.1 Oscar - either 103.3 or 103.7 I expect?

In the past day amateurs from as far away as Amsterdam going through the amateur 2 Metre repeater at Mullaghanish on the Cork-Kerry border , output 145.750 NFM, exceptional conditions

was driving up the M50 this afternoon with a rock solid BBC Scotland on 94.3; strong enough to stop the scan and resolve RDS

RDS came up on my car radio today in Dundalk for BBC Scotland 94.7 and Clyde 1 102.5 perfect reception. Yesterday Clyde 1 and Ocean FM were battling it out on 102.5.

I sometimes drive a car with DAB as an option on the car radio and the last few times around south Dublin, including this evening, as well as displaying various UK DAB stations (which it used to do before FáilteDAB arrived), it has actually been broadcasting some of them intermittently. Is that something to do with lift conditions?

This event is very strong. It got a mention twice today on the weather forecasts when I was listening to BBC Radio 4. They couch it in terms of the conditions having an adverse effect on TV reception. That is for normal people, not oddballs like us.

there’s been some great dx conditions in the last few days. I had TayFm from Dundee blasting into me in Tallaght during the week as well as Greatest Hits Radio (UK version) and despite having line of site to Mt Oriel LMFM were completely replaced by BBC Radio 4

That was from the Black Hill transmitter in Scotland. On my way to Newry this morning it took over 95.8 from LMFM at times.

that would make sense because Clyde were coming in too as well as Radio nan Gàidheal all from the same site.
