    I have a feeling it was doing the same to me. Buffering it is...

    Solution was I got in touch with apple support and they unblocked me. Give it a try ;-)

    They dont care / ask questions regarding location n addresses

    I normally pay €5.60 for family plan. I have it on my phone , wife has it on phone and son on tv.

    Last 2 times i forgot to top up revolut and they asked for money to reactivate it. They only asked for €1.40 for the last 2 times, no VPN or anything.

    Has this happened any one else?

    Did you just tell them you were trying to purchase YouTube premium and it wasn't letting you or were you able to ask them to do something more specific for you?

    Going through apple seems the only secure method and there's been no reports of cancellation. I assume it's difficult for Google to cancel those subs.

    As long as you can install youtube app to the phone. If you have an old phone with youtube already installed you are probably fine. If you need to install it fresh you need iOS 16 or later, so an iPhone 8 onwards should be fine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOS_16#Supported_devices)

    Fair play, that’s some saving. I did the same through Turkey a while back and it’s been spot on ,family plan, no ads, background play, the lot. Wouldn’t go back to regular YouTube now.

    I set up a Turkish account at the start of the year and bought credit, however I have ran out of credit and need to top up.

    I have logged back into my Turkish account on my Mac and am trying to add apple credit. I get this message:

    "How to Manage Your Apple Account Balance

    To add money to your Apple Account Balance or redeem a gift card, use Continue on Device to send a notification to your Apple devices that will take you directly to Payment & Shipping.

    Continue on Device..."

    Once I click continue to device I get the error "Unable to Connect".

    I tried logging in on my phone but I cant change account country without cancelling my Apple Music subscription.

    Am I missing a step to buy and add credit on the Mac?

    No idea about the Mac but on your phone you need to log into your Turkish iTunes account that you used to originally set you tube up. Once you've topped it up you then log out and log back in with your normal apple ID

    I got through to Apple support and they said there’s no lock on my account and they can’t see any record of any purchase attempting to be made so I still don’t know what’s going on with it.

    It says nothing will be erased when logging out of your current apple ID. but your card apple account, find my iphone and wallet cards are erased,,

    is this correct?

    No, you only log out of the App Store & then login with the Turkish Apple id account, not the iPhone main account

    Quick question, for those of us, not too familiar with the Apple Eco System.

    I have set up (on my old work phone) the Turkish gift card method as payment. It's been a while since I set it up, and I think I'll need to top it up soon, to avoid running out of credit.

    So, from memory I can just purchase a new gift card for ITunes from Turkey, but do I need access to an apple device to redeem the gift card?

    Both of my kids have iPhones, but I'd rather not have to rely on using their devices on a regular basis if at all possible.

    I think you can add credit on iTunes on Windows. But I haven't tried that method myself to be sure. You used to be able to redeem with the Apple Music app on Android but they're after getting rid of that feature.

    I bought 500tl yesterday on eneba for 13 quid. I used an old iPhone but I never thought to try using my own android phone. Would be handy if that was possible

    No you dont need apple.

    Im adding the credit using my win laptop and itunes or apple music app i have installed there. Sorry dont remember which if the two as all apple apps sound the same to me :-)

    Bottom line u dont need iphone anymore

    As @feargantae posted above you can defo do it with iTunes

    I used to also use Apple Music app or Apple TV app on a windows laptop, but wasn't aware this may no longer be an option.

    But you still an need Apple device to set it up the YT Turkish sub to begin with.

    @Nigzcurran - try the above on your Android device with Apple Music or TV apps. Or else maybe try browser apple.com/redeem

    Just FYI installed apple music on my phone (android)! Logged in to my Turkish account, but wouldn't accept gift card code.

    It did when I logged into app store on my daughter's iPhone though

    I just can't get this to work. AppleID based in Turkey, loaded with Lira iTunes, downloaded YouTube app. I can see option for Premium in YouTube app and it's in Turkish Lira but when I try to proceed I get the 'we couldn't verify your country' message :( All of this carried out on an iPhone.

    I've used it before successfully. I can easily get as far as redeeming the gift card in iTunes, but when I try to purchase YT Premium in the YT app it gives me the error about being unable to verify my country.
