amazon.ie variety of brands of coffee beans - far cheaper than supermarkets.

eg Lavazza intenso - €32 Tesco, €18.66 on amazon

I know it's not the same as freshly roasted from the speciality stores, but it is grand for day to day

If anyone has Electric Ireland rewards, they're doing a 15% off voucher code for Cloud Picker this month.

I think it might be individual, so don't think I can share, sorry!!

I didn't notice Bell Lane were upping their prices, espresso subscription went from €28.50 to €37.50. They were one of the cheapest from the big roasters, any others worth looking at?

It's funny on paper it's expensive but we like our coffee, we spend well over €100 a month on our weekly takeaway. Coffee is a more valuable purchase.

The downside is like everyone we're being squeezed financially in absolutely every way. Suppose I'll just have to cancel my TV licence!

Hey folks, new kitchen install completed in a week or so.

Treating myself to a coffee machine. Plug n go, not hooked up to main water supply.

    In your views:

    Best all rounder?

Best machine that takes multiple pod makes?

    Best Machine for fresh beans?

Is there one that does all of the above?

    Budget max €250

My local Lidl has Colombian beans from Comuna @ €4.50 for 200 g (€22.50/kg). I've run them through my Moka pot and Aeropress and got a nice fruity flavour out of them. They're in the 'Kickstart' section for small Irish brands, so who knows if they'll stick around. I'll be stocking up the next time I'm in.

Yeah I got a bag of them too, was pleasantly surprised that they weren't over roasted or bitter. I had a cup from the Clever dripper, and I'll do a Aeropress later in the week.
