She gets the hump if she goes off topic and you criticise her holiday snaps.

She is a good person none the less.

    Serious WARNING

Mr Cook being used as a compliment. When people used to call Joe Mr Duffy it usually meant they were going to start an argument with him.

Jesus it's a Monday and if Shane hadn't get that put I'd be off to the nearest bridge. RTE , enough of suicide, mental health and horrific disease. Some of us have to live going forward .

I know I have an off button.

As unbelievably tragic as this poor girl's death is, more censorship is not going to stop suicide. The responses, so far, have sounded really good actually.

Did this woman call the LiveLine about her daughter? This is Dr Raymond D'Arcy topic and interview if ever there was one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,244 ✭✭✭purifol0

This is honestly so fucked up. Can you not just explain to your kids that it's a computer not a real person and not to confide or trust in the damn thing.

    Like WTF is happening

Totally agree. Liveline has become a proper misery-fest in recent times. Why does RTE think the nation needs to be subjected to a never-ending saga of death, cancer, Parkinsons Disease etc. on an on-going basis?

It's not just Liveline, almost daily there's a slot featuring death and illness.

I have the greatest sympathy for anyone suffering with serious illness but I really don't want to listen to it broadcast on a daily basis.

John must have been listening to old livelines with Joe,

If in doubt what kind of program to have, use misery and lots of it

What a depressing programme to start off the wek

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,133 ✭✭✭avfc1874

With 2 sad deaths yesterday and 3 today,

Couldn't liveline have given the misery a miss for one day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,133 ✭✭✭avfc1874

I reckon the reason rte pile on the misery so much is.

When you hear bad news after bad news and sad stories and death, on rte

and whatever problems you have after listening to misery radio then you think to yourself i may have no money and a sh#t job but i could be worse

D'arcy is on now, interviewing a woman about her mother's death and the subsequent book she wrote. This woman subsequently had a miscarriage and on it goes….. Radio Morbid.

Dolly. Ill health. What to hear from Dolly Super Fans. John loves 9 to 5.

Childcare. Daughter putdown for a place on her 16 week scan. Still waiting for a place.

Is this KT's sister in Kerry? I thought she was Dolly's No. 1 Super Fan and organised various Dolly events around the country.
