    Hi All,

Looking for some advice on painting over oil based paint. I'll be painted my sitting room walls, ceiling, skirting board and door frames and from what I can see the previous owner used oil based paint. I'll be using Dulux water based paints. What would be the recommended primer to use before painting? I've read zinsser bullseye 123 but some people recommending 123 plus or would something else be better?

I'd give it a sand and use Zinseer BIN

Plus 1 for the Zinnser BIN. Works perfectly for me changing from oil to water based or painting over varnish.

The paint shop suggested we use Colourtrend Prime 2. It seems to have done the job and it is water based and low odour.
