Townhall ? Why not post directly from the GOP website ?

Ebbing away at a free media but you praise. You just sound a bit pro totalitarianism.

I have always been of the opinion you can learn a lot about people from the company they keep.

The Republican State Senator from Minnesota Justin Eichorn, who introduced a bill to define Trump deranged syndrome, was arrested and charged in March with the attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.

You are on here rabbiting about a makey-uppey syndrome from a paedophile while ignoring any and every mention to you of that other scumbag Brian Kilmeade who advocated for the murder of homeless people.

The real syndrome on show here is your own Dissociated Amnesia Syndrome. Not that you are the only one on here with that syndrome. There are also a few, who while backing the censuring and sacking of Jimmy Kimmel, are also very prone to selective amnesia at the mention of Brian Kilmeade.

I take it you only think Democrat handmaiden media sources are reliable, like CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times and the Washington Post.

    You'd be wrong of course.

Townhall is literally a Christian Evangelist/GOP mouthpiece.

They were founded by The Heritage Foundation.

Also, 'NO U' isn't really a good argument.

    edit:

Townhall.com features commentary by various conservative columnists and guest commentary by politicians.[7] Guest contributors have included Eric TrumpDonald Trump Jr., and Lara Trump.

    Big lolz.

They're a hell of a lot more reliable than an administration headed by a felon and noted rapist. Now you'll probably get outraged or something but we know for a fact that Trump's administration behaves criminally and seems to be a great place for sex offenders etc.

So looking through that list, most of it is nonsense. BTW its a listing from 2020. But these ones in particular stand out:

    20. Negotiating new trade agreements that are more favorable to the United States:

President Trump has negotiated new trade agreements with Mexico, Canada, and China, and all of them give more favourable treatment to the United States than the previous treaties did.

These are the amazing deals that Trump immediately ripped up and claimed were terrible, and how could anyone ever have agreed to them? So was Trump right then or right now?

    22. Sending weapons to Ukraine: Whereas President Obama sent only humanitarian aid, President Trump authorized the selling of actual military equipment to Ukraine, including Javelin missiles that were necessary to defend against Russian aggression.

He has done a complete 180 on this and is now actively working on the side of Russia

    23. Standing up to China and Russia:

Nope, he has completely caved to both. Not only has he caved to both, but he has actually brought them closer together, with India also joining the party

Did you actually read that list or just google "Good things that Trump did" ??

That list is simply a far right fever dream , those aren't "good for America" they are "Good for Christian Nationalists" and most of them have minority support at best.

    I mean look at the 1st 10.

1/ Judges - The claims are all around the fact that the Judges have been supportive of Far Right Christian Nationalist views - Abortion , Religious Freedom (For Christians only)

2/ Historic Tax Cuts - Again only for the mega Rich , the average American is demonstrably worse off after Trumps Budgets

3/ Building a "stronger military" - That's a maybe , I don't think anyone would have ever called the US military weak per se. And every President has increased the Military budget so Trump is just following that trend

4/ Protecting unborn Babies - A position supported by a minority of Americans , the majority of US citizens want access to Abortion.

5/ Education freedom - Claiming Betsy DeVos as a "win" is something for sure. Again this is just furthering the views of a minority of Americans who either want to have state funded Religious schools (illegal under the constitution) or who want to defund public schools so only rich kids get an education.

6/ Standing with Israel - Yeah, that's not the flex you might think it is….

7/ The "Abraham Accords" - To this day I still have not seen anyone be able to explain the actual tangible benefits from this. Sounds cool though

8/ "Actually building a border wall" - Not really though and the wall is a pointless waster of money that doesn't actually stop anyone.

9/ "Comprehensive Immigration reform" - Really??? Not a single new piece of legislation about immigration has been passed in either Trump administration. But we do have lots of videos of dudes in face masks rounding up brown people

10/ "Religious Freedom" - AKA , being allowed to be a bigot.

The next few are all about destroying the environment by rolling back environmental protections and the "drill baby drill" tripe.

So, these really aren't "Good Things" , unless of course you are a far right Christian Nationalist , if you are then sure.. Awesome….

wow… simply… wow !! did you actually read that article??

you had to go and find an opinion piece from an evangelical Christian for your "proof" that Trump is good for America?

one of those 'proofs' is that he "stands with Israel"…. really??? he stands with a county enacting genocide and YOU think thats a good thing??

YOU think its good thing that he is defunding higher education, despite this article claiming hes "expanding educational freedom"

YOU thing its good for america that he built 200 miles of a wall, thats currently falling down. The mexican border is almost 2000 miles long by the way, so that 1% wall is really going to save the American people from the "others"

YOU think its a good thing that Trump attacked the EPA and pulled out of the Paris climate accords. Literally allowing climate terrorism.

and i love this one… "withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal" 🤣 .. an action which actively encouraged Iran to ramp up its collection of enriched uranium. And this author thinks thats a win for Trump.

ill be honest with you, that opinion piece is embarrassingly lacking in fact and absolutely smeared in evangelical Christian think. I wonder did you stop and step back and consider this?

oh an by the way, the US economy is tanking. The 0.25% interest rate cut from the FED is based on the lack of job creation. the consumer price index is almost 50% higher than the FEDs intended inflation rate. When Trump ran on the basis of "the economy" it will be the economy which will bring him down. unfortunately it will bring a lot of pain across the work with it.

    https://cepr.org/voxeu/columns/economic-impact-us-tariff-hikes-significance-trade-diversion-effects

That said, there is concern of the risk of a self-generated economic downturn if economic agents, including firms, take inappropriate actions. The FY2025 white paper on the economy and public finance noted that if the negative perceptions regarding the uncertainty connected to the impact of the US tariff measures were to spread to economic agents, the real economy would be substantially affected.

The actions on that list are hilarious (well they would be if they were not dangerous), don't expect us to take them seriously!

Edit: I read the first half dozen then could not be bothered with the rest. Just an example from the first item:

All of them are committed to interpreting the Constitution and laws according to the original meaning of the words, rather than according to what a modern liberal judge thinks the law should have said.

    As an evangelical Christian…

'according to the original meaning' but the Amendments are trotted out more frequently than the original text, are you saying that the country should go back to the original wording, pre-amendments? I mean, lose the Second Amendment?

And why do you need to use your religion in your argument - the Constitution states there is to be no official religion, so your 'as an evangelican Christian' is completely irrelevant and inappropriate.

Let's just remember that the department of war and calling for the genocide of Palestinians is just a peace making operation.

The party that produced Matt Gaetz, Robert Morris, Anton Lazzaro, Roy Moore, Ray Holmberg, Justin Eichorn, Denis Hastert, George Nader and Mark Foley (among many others) has some cheek talking about protecting young minds.

OK, so you gave up on your initial 3 points without providing evidence and spun off into 30 more, this is called gish gallop.

You cannot accuse anyone else of TDS or discussing in bad faith after this, this has been quite a pathetic display from you.

I've always found the complete acceptance of violence but sex or even worse, the LGBT community is just a step too far in the US. Anyway the latest update from the US. Criticism of Trump may have consequences.... I'm sure out resident centrists will see no issue.

OK.. Care to pull out a few of your favourites from that 5 year old list and explain why you think they are "Good for America" and not just "Good for Evangelical Christians" as the author of the list themselves contest??

And while you are at it , how many of them have stood the test of time?

How many are still good or even valid today?

All of that is weird but that third one is legitimately insane.

I’ll simply go with the first few.

Judges. He picked judges that rule on the law, not their 'feelings' like Justices Sotomayor and Brown-Jackson.

Historic tax cuts and deregulation. Deregulation fosters economic grown and promotes jobs, and the tax cuts put more money into everyone pocketbooks. I remember the nightmare predictions of how Trump’s tax cuts would reduce revenues, but even the Biden administration had to admit they bought more revenues.

Building a stronger US military. The treats today to the world from places like Russia, China, North Korea and Iran require a stronger US military because other NATO nations, with the exception of perhaps Poland, were and continue to be sorely lacking in their defenses.

Trump is very smart - or Roger Stone who originally realised - the fact that that the hard Christian right are well used to following leaders and believing nonsense. They're easily lead and more easily bullied.

All the religious stuff is hilarious. Trump isn't in any way religious. Wouldn't surprise me if he was an athiest.

Lip reading reveals Trump tried to talk to a guard during the video, and Charles interrupted saying "we dont normally talk to them".

The first image involves prayer. You think prayer is a cult?

Care to show the sources of the other two so I can counter them with similar radical equivalents from the Left.
