Its real apart from the pasta. At that point the King was commenting about Ukraine and Trump had a big sulky puss on him.

You seem to have missed the other question (again) that you’ve been asked about 20 times now. I’ll write it in big letter for you.
DO YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH BRIAN KILMEADE SUGGESTING, ON FOX NEWS, THAT HOMELESS PEOPLE SHOULD BE MURDERED?

In other news from Trump, he has spoken about getting back control of Bagram Air Force base in Afghanistan from the Taliban. I don't know if this is just a brainfart but the Russians, the Brits, and the U.S lost heavily to the locals all along the line in their "interventions" there. It's been the graveyard of empires for over 2 centuries.

Democratic Party recaptured Melissa Hortman's seat in Minnesota. No surprise, she'd held the seat for 20 years before her murder by the Magat

I see they want to start cancelling passports for those who they dont like I guess, did we ever imagine we'd see an Iron curtain around America. I'm glad I have 3 passports, maybe I need to invest in a boat.

Met an American tonight who said he was an independent voter. He said corruption was everywhere but interestingly said you can't doubt Trumps' intergity and doing what he says he will do!

I replied he changes his mind like the wind so that depends.

Funny that as it seems the new ambassador has to present his/her credentials to the president per protocol, even if he wasn't the person who delivered the King's royal invite to Trump directly.

    Redundant post

All very normal of course. Forcing schools to have a minute's silence for a podcaster or lower a flag…

Australian Senator Nick McKim will certainly be on Trump's naughty list when he visits Australia to talk to the PM there. He said the U.S is sliding into fascism under Trump who belongs behind bars, not in the Oval Office and throws in a dig at Musk about his Right-hand salute during Trump's inauguration. The ABC reporter will have slid down Trump's bucket list.

I`ve met a few of them myself and you don`t have to scratch too deep to see that it`s their way of coping out knowing how unpopular Trump is outside of the U.S.

At best they are "independents"for Trump.

Mat Staver, the founder and chairperson of Liberty Counsel, an anti-LGBTQ+ Christian Nationalist legal advocacy group, wrote a September 16 email blaming Charlie Kirk’s murder on Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. It's good to have a committed Christian ready to step forward for Tyler Robinson's defence without being asked or subpoenaed.

Hovering the cursor over the "a September 16 email" above opens onto a long page of Liberty Counsel offerings, which make no sense except for the part near the end where it asks for a U.S$50 or more donation.

Yes, I got that feeling as well even when he said he was liberal.

Four men have been arrested after images of Donald Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected on to Windsor Castle on Tuesday, as the US president arrived in the UK for a state visit.

They were arrested on suspicion of "malicious communications following a public stunt in Windsor" and remained in custody, Thames Valley Police said.

Funny thing is this is is now setting a precedent for presidential power to be exerted in all areas of American's lives regardless of congress or senate, the MAGA's must be expecting to have the Executive branch for the forseesable because it'll be open season on right wing fox, the podcasters, x etc if the democrats ever gain power again(that's questionable at this stage though)

US President Donald Trump has generated new controversy with a new political statement. At a press conference in London, alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the White House leader unveiled an ambitious and, at times, controversial plan: to regain control of the Bagram air base in Afghanistan, ceded by the US in 2021. This move would mark a radical change of strategy in the Middle East and, above all, a reorientation of attention towards geopolitical competition with China.

"We're trying to take it back," Trump said directly, referring to the former American fortress. His statement came amid vehement criticism of the Biden administration for the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, an event Trump called a "total disaster."

    You couldn't make this up.

The United States Armed Forces completed their withdrawal from Afghanistan on 30 August 2021, marking the end of the 2001–2021 war. In February 2020, the Trump administration and the Taliban signed the United States–Taliban deal in Doha, Qatar,[7] which stipulated fighting restrictions for both the US and the Taliban, and in return for the Taliban's counter-terrorism commitments, provided for the withdrawal of all NATO forces from Afghanistan by 1 May 2021.

The FSB is working overtime coming up with things to make Krasnov do to destroy the US for them.

What is most ironic is the Dems set the rules of engagement over the past 8 years (at least). The hypocrisy is real on both sides. This is just the new normal. Its like a third world republic where seizing political power is about enriching yourself and your allies and targeting your enemies. The Dems will regain power (I expect Trump/MAGA will be voter repellant by 2028) but they will just be a new set of oligarchs attacking their enemies.

People were totally fine with it when it was their enemies being targeted in such a way. They are just annoyed when it is their allies being targeted. It is too easy to remind people that Kimmel has freedom of speech, he just doesn't have freedom from consequences like it was 2018. Or that there is protection for free speech, just not hate speech like it was 2019. On this very forum just a year ago, there was persistent support for some very grim Irish legislation restricting free speech in extremely crude ways because people thought it was good to punish crimethink. They're mad now not because of any principle of protecting free speech and expression has been breached, but only because they never thought they would be restricted or punished.

The real lesson is to remember Voltaire "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,". That old lesson has been lost. On all sides. And its very hard to put back together.

    @MisterAnarchy

You said Kimmel was fired because of what he said. You said it's about consequences for what you say.

    Here's your idol saying that's bullsh1t

He says it's because of ratings.

So is he a liar, or are you?

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

But using the FCC to pressure a media giant to fire satirical comedians like Colbert and now Kimmel is sinister. Doing it openly in TV is especially so. Note that the timing, with Colbert was very close to the approval of the ABC Paramount merger.

Also the settlement where ABC paid Trump millions after he sued over the editing of the Harris interview on 60 Minutes. The close timing of all these things could be interpreted in a certain way ethnically. To me it has echoed of the allegations in the Tribunals in Ireland about quid-pro-quos.
