His rhetoric around a plot to replace white people isn't a standard right wing view that people used to hold in the old days... Only last month he declared Taylor Swift should reject feminism and submit to her husband.. I guess that last one was a traditional right wing view a few decades back. The reality is the kind of lines he pushed were not remotely standard right wing views.

Ya, you're not making it sound any better...

I didn't watch the Oxford union video yet but I did watch the Cambridge union debate from a few months ago and he got absolutely destroyed by of most(not all) of the opposing debators, in the Cambridge debate(Link below). Debating starts around 28mins.

If you actually watched the Cambridge debate and somehow thought he won or destroyed the various opposing debators, well then, you are truly living in cuckoo land.

I urge you to watch the debate and judge for yourself. You'll see he is a racist, vaccine skeptic, sexist, and a fascist.

It's about treating other users of the site with respect. Public figures will get all sorts of comments, sometimes particular words may be banned on site if it leads to off-topicness a lot (soccer has some very specific slurs that can't be used, a few with biden and trump as well).

It can be pointed out that any user's response is bigoted if you can defend it, trolling should be reported to moderators.

Do read the site rules more thoroughly if in doubt and don't take my word for it.

Firstly he was talking about black women. Secondly he was talking about women who were black.

    Talk about arguing semantics.

You really should stop using Grok to formulate your contrarian replies. You are embarassing nobody except yourself.

    ?

Where the rebuttal? The image in the post you're quoting literally says that he was referring to those people you mention.

In the video he claims that they said that they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for affirmative action, sure –

If you are being held back because of historical and institutionalised practices that put you at an unfair disadvantage, then it's fair to suggest you might not (or would not) have been able to succeed without those practices being accounted for and dismantled.

That's not the same as being unqualified or "lacking the brain processing power" – that is Charlie Kirk's racist take on it.

First Question, Why did you refuse to debate Dean Withers.

Charlie - First of all, he is coming on my show this summer.

Secondly, I flew 5000, for you to ask why i wont debate a left wing youtubber? Miles for this to be your question?

Thirdly - I debated him twice already this year.

It thats an indication of how bright they are at Cambridge, ill skip.

She was a Lawyer and former Minnesota State Representative. Charlie was a podcaster and 31 year old student.

Had you actually watched the video you would have seen one of those woman actually say that they were a DEI hire!

The meme said he claimed all black woman had no Brain processing power, he never said that so your meme is a lie.

Maybe you need to watch the video again.

    The average Kirk cheerleader.

Thats why he was renowned as an intellectual. No matter how stupid kirk was if you can edit it into a 10 second tiktok Charlieboy won the debate.

"Dig up, stupid" comes to mind after reading the last page or so.

The debate was posted to say how Charlie lost the debate,

literally the first student up asked the question, why he wouldnt debate Dean Withers? Charlie responded with he had done so twice this year and planned to further do so on his show this summer.

The student then replied, Why wont you debate Dean Withers.

If thats is you tryingf to prove your point then God help you, but please find a part where they actually put him on the back foot, id love to see it.

This really is a circular argument. He was talking about women of colour. What he said was vile racist garbage.

Had you actually read what I said –

If you are being held back because of historical and institutionalised practices that put you at an unfair disadvantage, then it's fair to suggest you might not (or would not) have been able to succeed without those practices being accounted for and dismantled.

The meme said he claimed all black woman had no Brain processing power

Where did the meme say that? It didn't.

Whatever you're trying to do here, you're not very good at it.

Let's go back to your previous point, do you think Michelle Obama, Joy Reid and Ketanji Brown Jackson are of lower intelligence? Brown Jackson graduated Magna Cum Laude and Obama Cum Laude. Obama and Reid benefited from affirmative action. Brown does not appear to have. Either way, they all got through the likes of Harvard and Princeton which is far from easy and two of them were incredibly distinguished in terms of their results. But you see nothing wrong with Kirk specifying that they are inherently dumber?

If anything, their success at Ivy League Universities is proof of how affirmative action very much so is necessary.

It has taken this man's unfortunate death to uncover how much of a bigot and piece of **** he really was.

Yes, your thinking it's fine is more a reflection upon you at this point..

The tolerant left wing posters here are dismissing anyone who suggests he is left wing as conspiracy theorists and at the same time going off on mad tangents about the far right.

Except that's not happening. It is unclear what the reasons for the killing or the political leaning of the killer were. All we have is the media waiting to pounce on any and all conjecture to generate clicks. Folks aren't dismissing anything, they're telling you to bite your tongue until we know more. Anyone making a definitive statement on the matter is jumping the gun. Including, and especially, Trump who did it within hours of the death to ignorantly claim it was done by a radical left-winger based off nothing but his own wet dreams.

As if the political leaning even matters. Did the right make as big a deal out of their affiliation when it was the republican guy who shot Trump? or 4 months ago when the Hortman's were killed in a politically motivated attack by a right-winger? This is the sort of hypocrisy folks are picking up on. Nobody is rejoicing in his death. Some are using it as an opportunity to rub others' faces in it, which is also wrong, but which is exactly what you're doing with your 'tolerant' dig.

Objectively the assassination of someone for their opinions is wrong by any metric but its being justified as Karma and God's will here by posters who proclaim their tolerance and virtue and denounce the demonic ideals of the conservative right.

Ah yes, the left……….famous for attributing everything to God and his almighty will.

I've seen more people make this erroneous claim than I have seen people celebrating his death or saying it was justified. Objectively the assassination of anyone for any reason is wrong by any metric. People are merely commenting on the fact that the irony is off the charts. The co-founder of a right-wing website which i) claimed covid wasn't a big deal and ii) fervently refuted calls for stricter gun control, especially in relation to schools, and who openly claimed that dying by gunfire is a small price to pay for having guns, is gunned down on a school campus not long after the other co-founder died of covid is just……..

It was the same with the Brian Thompson murder. Because the company he ran had a bad reputation, he literally deserved to die - or at least some kind of jelly brained equivalence was drawn.

If nothing else, this is turning into a litmus test for separating the moderate left from the absolute loony left.

“The opposite of 'good' is 'good intentions'”

Yes, he is referring, as is written at the bottom of the image, to three black women. i.e. "you (black women)".

There is no "all" in that sentence or on that image, implied or otherwise. Not that it makes a shred of a difference to his racism.

You can't even win your own stupid straw man arguments.

Well, I don’t know, I couldn’t tell you what their test scores, etc., are. What I do know, however, is that in the video, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee said she was a "recipient of Affirmative Action, particularly in higher education".

As far as I know college places are awarded on Merit, so if someone isnt given that place on merit then they are taking the place from someone who would have the place on merit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 973 ✭✭✭greyday

I would like to see the full context of that, I have seen a fair bit of him and although I don't agree with a lot of what he stood for, I had never seen him say stuff like that, maybe the stuff I saw edited that type of stuff out or possibly the above has been edited to take something completely out of context to suit a certain narrative, from what I had seen previously the above would not be how he saw people of a different race.

Rep Sheila Jackson herself said she was given the place as a woman and as a woman of colour.

    Maybe she is racist too?

    For the 3rd time:

If you are being held back because of historical and institutionalised practices that put you at an unfair disadvantage, then it's fair to suggest you might not (or would not) have been able to succeed without those practices being accounted for and dismantled.

That's not good either way you look at it, fair enough he is talking about DEI but to laugh at the lady giving her thoughts on affirmative action when she misspoke was disrespectful at the very least.

I've been catching up and still reading a lot of "radical left" and "left wing" being used to describe posters on here and just yet again would like to ask which communist principles these posters are showing in their response to this death that is having them called as such?
