    Who are they?

The information is this was one lone gun man that acted alone, who will either spend the rest of his life incarcerated or will be executed.

I'm still yet to be told what a leftist is and what their political ideology is.

I can't look at the presumed opposite rightist because that doesn't seem to exist.

    A killer should be killed-

Like a president who orders bombings should be bombed himself-

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

God murdered the Egyptians who were chasing the Jews across the red sea-

God killed his enemies- good enough for him - good enough for us-

We shouldn't be basing our societies on nonsense from thousands of years ago. None of this happened.

His main issue was the establishment of a permanent bureaucracy that overreached into people's lives and its effect on free speech. His claim that it created more division in the country rather than uniting the country, and put in place DEI and identity politics at the front and centre.

You are free to disagree with this of course, as I am, but the position is more nuanced.

Many of those links are dead and the first one is an outright lie.

Can’t see how it can be nuanced. It’s quite clear that Kirk’s unhappiness with the Civil Rights act was more racially motivated than anything.

It had nothing to do with bureaucracy, it was about ending racial segregation and dismantled Jim Crow segregation. Not sure what’s nuanced about that…perhaps it’s not at all.

Ya I'd agree, if that report is true he'd have to be way left of Charlie.

BTW I think it was an awful move to have he's wife in front of cameras this soon. Crazy stuff.

What's the difference of thousands of years ago and kirk getting shot dead a few days ago- all history and different opinions about what happened and who did what-

I would believe the bible more than today's conspiracy theorists-

No they haven’t, you’re spreading compete lies again Paddy.

The pearl clutching/shaming of people for simply not eulogising the man in the name of demonising “the left”(especially when theres no evidence of the shooter being left wing at all) is pretty pathetic tbh.

It’s no more tragic than any gun death that happens in the states, and it’s arguably not the most tragic shooting that day considering those poor high school kids.

I don’t wish anyone dead but he was happy to promote and profit from a system that will guarantee innocent people die through guns, so it’s hard for me to find much sympathy for him. People will go on dying preventable deaths over there any many will be much more tragic than this.

I agree. But that isn't how it works.

His media team obviously are watching every other "influencer" and politician profit off his death, they want their slice too.

They will want a book deal, speaking circuit, podcast circuit, etc.

They know the like of Vance will hijack the funeral for his own means, I doubt Trump cares and is probably irritated that it isn't him getting the headlines.

Culture wars are just a big manufactured Grift for powerful people to enrich themselves with money and power.

The victim and the soon to be executed are just dispensable pawns in the whole charade.

His wife after a few days reflection would have been better off coming out and stating the culture wars which led to her husbands killing which he very much promoted needs to stop immediately. But there is no money in that.

So she is unleashing something something against "they"? 🤷‍♀️

What’s more ironic, the posters who are trying to whitewash Kirk’s beliefs and legacy due to his death, simply don’t realise that if this was another political commentator, Kirk would be defending gun laws and still going on with his hateful beliefs.

His death doesn’t make him a saint, it’s a tragedy but you can still criticise the person.

It's basically someone that right wing people use to label someone that disagrees with Donald Trump's view of the world. A simple term used by simple people.

The problem with all the talk about radicalism is that it's being cited most by those who are seeking to radicalise others. While I certainly would give a lot of leeway to a grieving wife, Charlie Kirk's wife has given a speech where she refers as many others have done to "they" killed Charlie. Other right leaning commentators and news media have also ran with this theme of Kirk having been killed by a faceless unspecific collection of people known as "the Left". This language is the foundational base of radicalism. A good radical movement needs an enemy — and the less specific that enemy is the more perpetual and wide-ranging that radical movement can become.

Of course, the irony is lost on many that a lot of people on the so-called Left of US politics have advocated for the notion that it should never have been so easy for someone to acquire and use the weapons used to kill Charlie Kirk and the children who were shot the same day. Charlie Kirk on the other hand is on record for saying that gun violence is a worthy price for gun rights — and he didn't have much sympathy as regards the political violence rained down on Palestinians every day.

None of this is to say he deserved to die, and above all his children did not deserve to lose their father. I don't believe in death penalties and I don't believe that bloodshed advances causes. But it is hard to accept the sincerity of certain people talking about the dangers of radicalism right now when everything they are saying seems designed to radicalise.

It’s why I’m not a huge fan of the discussion having him as a husband and father first. Of course it’s horrible for his wife and kids and they have my sympathies - but there’s hundreds of gun deaths every day in the US where husbands, wives and kids are losing significant others and it’s all completely tragic.

But Kirk is famous and his relationship to most of us is not a familial one. We shouldn’t be pressured into speaking about him through that lens.

It seems like they're just trying to turn it into a new Red Scare.

Beware the Leftie hiding under your bed.

'Full of hate' would suggest being to the left of Kirk, although to the left of him includes not only the political left, but the centre and centre-right, also. However, there is increasingly little distinction between any of this for MAGA where you're either one of them or you're essentially the enemy.

You are an amazingly insightful man you, having never met them, but have managed to figure out the motives and thoughts of Trump, Vance and Kirks wife on everything they are doing and thinking following Kirks assassination. I doubt his wife at this moment has any cogent thoughts on anything, you can say what you like about Kirk and people can make up their own minds on the thousands of videos he has with made people on the internet not just the soundbites. He loved his family I do agree with you though his wife shouldn't be filming anything right now. But I'm assuming you think they had a sham marraige and she is just another far right grifter?

You are an amazingly insightful man you having never met them

Thank you. But you have never met me have you?

Only being allowed have an opinion on people you have actual met is probably a bar too high, would be the instant death of a discussion forum like this anyway.

Although that bar doesn't seem to apply to you.

Ahh right…. Being worried about black lesbian surgeons operating on him is somewhat nuanced and doesn't create division ……….. got it

Anyone to the left of Trump is a leftie basically. The fact Obama, Clinton's, Joe Biden ie dyed in the wool fiscal conservatives are called far left by segment of society today is just hilarious.

I think most of the people who identify as Republican or 'right wing' on places like this would actually be shocked as to what left wing ideology is. If FDR was alive today I can just imagine the reaction to his New Deal proposals..

Read the link you posted again. He did not speak of Kirk as being full of hate. He is reported as being full of hate when speaking about Kirk. Which is very much on brand for Fuentes and the groypers and others on the extreme ends of the extreme right.
