1500% of those jobs existed. Don't think so? Well then, put your sources up. Should be easy.

Another Trump rig-the-vote case thrown out, this time as a Michigan judge dismissed criminal charges Tuesday against 15 Republicans accused of trying to falsely certify President Donald Trump as the winner of the 2020 election, saying that because they seriously believed him, there was no intent to commit fraud.

Investigators said the group met at the Michigan GOP headquarters in December of 2020 and signed a document falsely stating they were the state’s “duly elected and qualified electors,” even though President-elect Joe Biden won Michigan by nearly 155,000 votes, a result confirmed by a GOP-led state Senate investigation in 2021.

Prominent Michigan MAGA activist and former Michigan Republican Party Co-Chair Meshawn Maddock was one of the accused. Her attorney, Nicholas Somberg, told reporters after the hearing that the state attorney general’s office had engaged in a “malicious prosecution.” “There needs to be major consequences for the people who brought this,” he said.

Judge Simmons said she saw no intent to commit fraud: Whether they were “right, wrong or indifferent,” they “seriously believed” there were problems with the election, the judge said. “I believe they were executing their constitutional right to seek redress.”

The notion that doing what the president said is an excuse for what were clearly unlawful actions by a fake board of electors is then accepted by a sitting judge hearing the case against the accused as a genuine reason to throw out the charges case boggles the mind.

What if the charges had been murder or riot done on the say-so of Trump, would Judge Simmons have gone the same route in deciding how she should rule on the case.

Unfortunately it's the depths to which Trump, and those doing a lot of the thinking, script-writing and suggesting to him, that the U.S has been dragged down to. The number of "what'll we do" senior citizens in the U.S should be growing daily but it looks like they are closing the curtains instead hoping some-one else will do something about it. They all know what is afoot so it'll be their own fault when he comes knocking on the door "come vote for me or else". There's nothing the rest of the world can do for them.

There is no loophole. There's the law and then there's a coup. Simple as.

"51% of jobs reported never existed" is also not even close to accurate. The report polls all jobs, not new jobs - so when you drill it down to such a small subset it inevitably wildly increases the margin of error.

How things have changed in the Oval Office.

While this is what we should be really talking about, @MisterAnarchy thinks Joe Biden, who isn’t president, is more important.

    The deflections are getting weaker.

Also, these revisions mysteriously get released after Trumps new pal is installed in the role.

Looking at poor numbers under Trump...what can we do...issue "revised" Biden numbers and focus on that fact instead.

Also, without getting extra conspiratorial, what are the chances of a push for poor numbers from the department until he gets the requisit rate cuts he wants, after which point they can publish whatever revisions they want and have the best of all worlds ahead of the mid-terms.

Look everyone, rates are lower and the pay-rolls numbers are up, all thanks to the best president of all time

When asked about the birthday book this morning, Trump said "I don’t comment on something that’s a dead issue". This is coming from someone who comments on absolutely everything from Taylor Swift to windmills. Seems to me if he very concerned about this.

I truly believe even if there is a video evidence of Trump raping children on Epstein’s Island MAGA would continue to support him.

How seriously can we take BLS data now that they have been gutted? Maybe that includes the downward revisions which might seem to put Biden in a bad light?

Maybe more than one side can play the Fake News mantra 😁

They'd just dismiss it as a deep fake from the deep state.

Mmmmm. Somebody smart once said that you can't reason someone out of a position that they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

I think that sums up MAGA supporters succinctly.

Q: On Epstein, would the White House support a professional handwriting expert review of the document released yesterday to prove it's not the president's signature?

LEAVITT: Sure, we would support that. In fact, I've already seen many forensic analysts who said this absolutely was not the president's authentic signature

Trumps blonde mouthpiece looked very shaken answering questions about the paedophile Epstein and Trump.

Probably not the career path she expected to be on.

God I hope he has to pay back all the money he’s collected through tariffs. That would hit him hard. 🤞🤞

I saw a video clip of a MAGA supporter saying she would rather a rapist and someone who has abused children been president of America instead of a Democrat being president.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,582 ✭✭✭skimpydoo

The blonde Barbie mentions many forensic analysts, who would they be? As I have not seen any of them mentioned in the media unless she is counting MAGA politicians who are claiming its not Trump's handwriting.

He didn't give a **** about Ukrainian kids when he tried to blackmail Zelensky to try and get himself reelected.

He didn't give a **** about Ukrainian kids when he sided with Putin as the war rumbled on.

He doesn't give a **** about Ukrainian kids in the US either.

On the basis of what's known so far, from information flowing from the Trump Administration and its departments, from the Netanyahu administration and from the Qatari Administration over the bombing of the Hamas Negotiation team in Qatar, the timeline seems to be that the Israeli DF informed the U.S military of its planned operation, the U.S military informed its superiors, and the Qatari Administration was then informed by the Trump administration of the planned Israeli operation.

The however is in the Qatari claim that they received the information from the U.S several minutes after the Israeli operation went into play. That leads to a reasonable supposition that Netanyahu may have played Trump again in so far that Trump, as of yesterday, was publicly pushing for the Hamas negotiating team to agree to the peace deal terms he said the Israelis had agreed to. It would suit Netanyahu to have Hamas hurt even if it was on neutral ground in Qatar, one of Trump's friend's in his push for Middle East peace. Netanyahu is first and foremost Israeli and not a U.S citizen and his homeland's continuance is more important to him than having Trump in the Oval Office. Israel is not a Republican state beholden to Trump. Boom goes another of Trump's efforts to end wars.

Trump's supporters were all warned. But now they are dragging down the country and most of the planet.

The stories about US businesses suffering because of tariffs on raw materials. This isn't a rising tide lifting all boats, it's commerce being stifled and it's hard to see who benefits apart from those who can see in advance what the next random executive order is.,

This video is absolutely sickening and shocking. Some people seem more upset by the fact that the video went viral and that people are outraged over it though, rather than the fact that a 14 times arrested and dangerous criminal was released once again and allowed to commit this horrible murder

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,139 ✭✭✭✭charlie14

There are an average of 50 homicides in the U.S. every day. Do you want people to be outraged by all of them or just the ones that Trump, in his usual crass manner, highlights hoping to get people to vote for another of his lapdogs?

The question you should be asking is why Trump is not outraged over his good friends Putin and Netanyahu murdering men woman and children in Ukraine and Isreal rather than aiding and abetting both.

He's described as a "repeat offender", but I can only find reports of one previous conviction, and that was more than a decade ago. He has been arrested multiple times since then, but an arrest is not a charge, much less a conviction.

He has serial mental health problems, has been diagnosed withs schizophrenia and suffers from paranoid delusions. On at least one occasion he has reported himself to police, but they have declined to intervene on the basis that "the issue was a medical issue and that there was nothing further they could do". He has been the subject of an involuntary commitment order (obtained by his own mother) which doesn't seem to have been enforced.

It's fairly clear that the fundamental problem here is not a lack of law enforcement; it's a lack of medical treatment. Trump himself seems to understand this when he describes the man as a "deranged lunatic". It tells you all you need to know about Trumpis that he thinks the only proper public response to serious illness is more aggressive law enforcement.

A woman on CNN said that he should be put away for life.

When questioned "what for?" she answered "schizophrenia" and spent the next 5 minutes wriggling on that hook.

Yes, he needs medical treatment and shouldn't have been released without bail, he should have been transferred to a secure medical facility for treatment. That's a failure of the justice system.
