How are there so many actual psychopaths in the US administration.

A Jen Psaki said that 'thoughts and prayers weren't enough' in relation to the Minnesota shooting - an obvious nod to the need for gun control.

Pyschopathic Tulsi Gabbard responded on Twitter as follows:

"Their response is rooted in their hatred of God… They want to be God, so they view Him as their competitor. They are agents of darkness and hatred, and the light of God’s love is a threat to their dark ambitions."

    Mental

It's not just mental, it's deeply sinister. Christianity was used as the foundation for the legitimacy of medieval Kings and Queens. Without it, you just have some inbred twit on a chair with a metal accoutrement.

Of course, the overwhelming majority of America's Christians have no issue with this whatsoever.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

    Leviticus 19:34

the reality is they can only offer prayers as the gun nuts just don’t give a toss about dead kids. A price worth paying for keeping guns at home is someone else’s children. If they don’t offer prayers then they have nothing to offer as anything else would have to be a too close to gun control and that’s just not something they will offer. If you are going to offer thoughts and prayers then you have to offer them with venom.

Gabbard's tweet should be put over all the insane clips of Donald's spiritual leader worshipping Donald

This looks like part of the dismantling of US cyber security.

Is this policy incompetence or malice ?

Is it to grab powers when (not if) an emergency happens or is it outright treason ?

US firms are monetising personal data. But the enemies of America can also use that data.

DOGE have a copy on unsecured servers.

    @J Mysterio

How are there so many actual psychopaths in the US administration.

I don't know if you'd call them psychopaths. Sycophants might be a better term. Trump, though, is a classic psychopath, and he has engineered MAGA in such a way either by accident, by deliberation or by sheer odious instinct that he stays at the top of it and anyone else who wants power within the movement must speak and act in increasingly specific ways.

Trump has been dialling this in since he first took office in 2017. His only problem then was that his rise to the presidency was so rapid that he was thrown in with a lot of people in the Republican party who still had some kind of morals and decency. Trump has ruthlessly and systematically purged the party of these people. Look at his press secretary in January 2017 up to the end of his last term, i.e. Spicer to McEnany. Look at how much more purely hitting the MAGA talking points the latter was.

The formula is now established as is the dogma and when Trump's underlings speak or act they're always trying to do so in a way that pleases Trump and his base. Laws and the constitution are irrelevant. Talk about who is great (Trump), vilify and dehumanise his critics and opponents, conspiratorialise and proclaim vengeance. And never, ever admit wrongdoing.

It's insane, but when you look back on the gradual degradation of public/political discourse in the United States, you can't really say it's not been coming, can you?

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/29/us/politics/trump-foreign-aid.html

Trump using legally untested loophole to cut $4.9Bn in USAID that congress had already approved.

So a reduction in US reputation and soft power.

$3.2 Bn - development assistance grants

    $520 m - UN

    $838 m - international peacekeeping operations

$322 m - to encourage democratic values in other countries.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been blocked from attending the UN General Assembly session in New York next month, after he and 80 other Palestinian officials had their visas revoked, the US State Department has said.

Meanwhile Tony Blair has been allowed in to the US to discuss Palestine

as JD Vance said the other day “ all wars end through NEGOTIATION’ . I did not hear him say ‘but there are exceptions. Why were the visas not revoked years ago ,. Why now? Will MD Abbas and the team planned to accompany him not be candidates re next gov/ administration group in Gaza when ‘the dust Settles’.
The mind boggles anout the withdrawing of these visas. DT had no problem WELCOMING that war monger to the US a few days ago, providing him with a red carpet , etc.

IIMO it’s all tied in with the idea of there never will be a Palestinian state if I , DT, can help it

He has a real bee in his bonnet about the UN.

Is it something to do with his trump tower in NYC and the UN at the time including Kofi Annan voicing their opposition to it

Hitler credited the Gods with saving him in the Valkerie assassination attempt, only to meet his end in a bunker a few months later.

So…not only does his negotiation only revolve around tariffs, so does his petty revenge.

Jebus. Donnie is going to have a very blue October when he finds out who actually won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.

Since the current White House is barely staffed with any adults, I suspect no-one has attempted to put their neck out to point out reality to Donnie. For example:

    • The Peace Prize is not based on the number of nominations. One is enough, and then the award is based on the candidates’ overall merits. (So certainly not Donnie)
    • This isn’t like The Oscars or the Emmys. You’re often not given the prize based on your actions in the previous «season». Often this this is based on a life of peace making. (So not Donnie)
    • Most of the Nobel Peace Committee are made up of Moderate-Left or Center-Left Norwegian people, some of whom are known to despise Trump. Enough of the Committee are guaranteed to not vote for Trump to pretty much rule out a prize for him for the foreseeable.

Of course, I don’t think anyone in his circle will dare tell Donnie any of this. He’s probably happily pottering away in the West Wing daydreaming about his trip to Oslo, assuming in his own nitwitted way that racking up bogus nominations of peace initiatives he had nothing to do with….is enough to get him a Nobel.

So come October…they’d better keep all the ketchup bottes stored away in the kitchen.

There's something deeply disgusting about these types hiding behind a god or "faith" to disguise their revolting politics.

I wonder what level of tariffs will Norway get lumbered with if the Orange idiot doesn't get the prize?

Maybe award him the prize, but wuth a citation which states openly and bluntly that it was awarded in response to blackmail and threats. It could be the greatest calling out he will ever get, and another permanent stain on his charater.

Well, today I learned that the Nobel Peace prize is administered in Norway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,655 ✭✭✭eightieschewbaccy

I'm also pretty sure that he's not eligible for this year's prize at all. The cut off for nominations was the 31st of January. 😂

The quest for the Nobel peace prize nonsense is just sick though.

Trump's egged on the war crimes + now likely a genocide unfolding in Gaza.

Sure he's not responsible himself, but I think him winning the election was a necessary condition for that situation to become as bad as it is.

Ukraine - he's also made situation there far worse by pandering to Putin and his allies. Gave Putin hope, and a green light to him, Kim Jong Un, Xi etc. to go and savage and destroy Ukraine if they can. The US under Trump won't do anything prevent it and might even help a bit. It has a positive side effect from their admin's pov that it damages and weakens Europe/the EU, and makes us more reliant on the US in the short term anyway.

Israel's attack on Iran - like what is happening in Gaza Trump's election was probably necessary for that too (and the US took part).

What's up with the fetishisation of the US military, his constant boasting about how strong it is, hanging of standards around him in the Oval Office + talking about changing name of the Defence Dept. back to the Dept. of War?

Really odd + disturbing, and is it fitting for someone who believes they should be awarded a peace prize?

A lot of them have guns out in the garage, just in case.

He probably has sent letters to all and sundry to attend his great day, his inauguration as the world's greatest ever peacekeeper in 6 months and booked (well made a deposit) Melania for the weekend away.

Junior and Eric will be busy having the avalanche of souvenirs made and planning how to stiff the manufacturers.

Pretty sure that's material covered in chapter one of How to Talk Fascist. Other points include

    Glorious past

Multitude of enemies both within and without

    Cult of personality

Donald Trump believes he should have every prize in the world. Emmys, club championships, Forbes rich-list entry…. Though the main reason he probably wants that peace prize is an abiding envy of Obama getting one. I'd nearly say he should be given one just to shup him up, but what would more likely happen is that having it would make him think he's a genius at solving conflicts and essentially infallible at doing so, even as he ships bombs over to Israel to bomb the dust of Gaza city.

“‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent? No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.’”

That's Donald Trump - Nobel Peace Prize applicant, 2025, talking about the US's NATO partners, there.

Most of the other categories of Prizes are awarded in Nobel’s native Sweden, but as a token of solidarity to the neighbors, Norway got the Peace Prize. It is awarded each year at Oslo City Hall.

The Peace Prize Committee is also based in Oslo and their members are nominated by the Norwegian Parlament for limited terms. Fairly often they are ex-MPs or otherwise attached to politics.

Norwegian politics leans left to center-left, so members of the committee tend to be there too. Thus an additional lock against the likes of Trump getting a Prize.

However it should be noted that the committee was once chaired by notorious politician Thorbjørn Jagland who had a knack of pushing for awards that allow him to meet famous people. Obama’s nomination was mostly thanks to him. If Jagland was still there, Trump might still of had a chance, but he’s long gone. The current committee have no patience at all for Donnie, and he’s not getting a prize from them.

Thw orange cockwomble hasn't a clue what the word "peace" means.

In his head it's probabaly. " I'm going to take a peace of that land" or "I'd like a peace of that young pussy"

    What a stupid prick.
