How does Springboard work?

I'm currently on JSA and my employment advisor told me I could do a springboard course. I'm interested in computer science/IT and did do well enough in a PLC to enter university but dropped out in the second year. From looking at the courses, it seems that I need to have completed a Level 8/bachelors to enter any of the courses.

Springboard works a bit differently depending on the course. Many of the courses are aimed at people who already have a Level 8 degree, but there are also plenty at Level 6 and Level 7 that don’t require a bachelor’s to get in. Since you’ve done a PLC before, you might meet the entry requirements for some of those. It’s also worth noting that each college has its own criteria, so if a course interests you, it’s a good idea to contact the course coordinator directly to see if your background fits. You can check the full list on the Springboard website and filter by level to find what you’re eligible for.
