Bandsaw Blades

I recently got a second hand bandsaw (metabo bas317). I have managed to get it setup and running and have used it a bit, made a circle jig and was able to get some great circles cut from oak to make some plant stands etc, but recently its been stalling and generally performing poorly. It came with a couple of blades but they all seem pretty knackered so I would like to get some new blades for it in the hope it improves performance.

I would be using it for hobby use and cutting a mixture of 18mm sheet materials and 1" or 2" hardwood.

Any recommendations on where to get good quality blades / good value? I'm based in South Dublin but I expect I will order online.

From my research so far I was hoping to get:

    • 3/8" 3tpi - general purpose
    • 1/4" 6tpi - curves
    • 1/2" 3tpi - resaw

Any advise would be very welcome!

To update on this, I ended up ordering the blades from city saw services in Dublin https://www.citysawservices.ie/ , it was more expensive than I had hoped, (~€110 delivered) but hoping they will perform well for me.

I had also seen this store in Wales: https://beverstocksaws.com/index.php?route=common/home , seems to be considerably better value, so may try here next time.

I think it's Joe McKenna in Limerick I've ordered replacement blades for my tiny cheapo one. They've a good range but I guess if yours have to be made to order it'll be much pricier.

I am using a Record Power 300 with a 93 1/4" blade. I suspect that your saw blade is a similar length.

I buy my blades from Ronaynes in Thurles( mytools.ie) and they are working out at about €17 per blade.
