Looking to make my own extension lead

    Hi everyone,

I need to make my own extension lead as I need to power some light that are placed 1-2m apart.

I know Lidl has 'magic sockets ' which were 4 electrical sockets spaced 1m. I'm looking to recreate something like this.

Ideally I will purchase from https://cpc.farnell.com/

The lights are approx 45W each.

    Thanks

For indoor or outdoor use? To be portable/movable or fixed into position?

If you had planned on making a daisy-chain of leads then the tricky part is making a solid connection with two leads coming out of a device which wasn't designed to take two leads. For that reason - even if it's for indoor use - you might need to look at waterproof boxes with glands as these would be robust enough to withstand movement while also giving you good levels of insulation.
