Yeah it looks as if there is an "initial interview" batch, as it was referred to on my email. Then there are those who passed the assessment and are to be interview during the life time of this panel at a later date.

Difficult to understand if a panel has been established without OOM for those of us who are not in the initial interview group, but did successfully pass assessment.

Such a strange way of doing it there was always an oom which gave an indication of timeline etc and a way for people to track the batches.

I wonder is it being done by location?

Nobody in my current location has been advised they will be in the first batch of interviews. They may be focussing interviews on locations where there are the most vacancies.

I don’t think it’s location-based — I was included in Batch 1 in my location, and another colleague in my location wasn’t in the initial batch.

I asked for a copy of my OOM, no reply yet. There must be an overall OOM, or else they could not select an initial batch for an interview.

    not very transparent so far.

I think there was some kind of mess made of the scoring

It just seems mad to me that they have ascertained a top criteria for interview without providing insight into where other results are in relation to this.

I mean there's a huge swing from someone who just missed out on an immediate interview, down to someone barely scraping a pass on the assessment. Shouldn't we be aware of where we are?

Agreed, they need to release our places so we know where we stand.

    Can the union intervene here?

Did anyone get a response to their query about an OOM. Or even an acknowledgement that they have sent a query?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 REVCOLIM

Union sent an email via branch reps that they wont be releasing an oom but may release how many people they call in the first batc. Due to multiple people having the same oom they can't differentiate people into a sequence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 darthinvader

Does that mean everyone is getting interviewed before a panel is formed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166 ✭✭milkandsugar

But multiple people often have the same OOM. It's usually written in the email.

If they can't differentiate how can have batches?

That seems a v.weak response and worse if the union are accepting it.

Anyone being called going to do a mock interview? I'm in two minds about it. Can see the potential benefits but also afraid it might knock my confidence going in.

Many from Clare/Limerick area being called?

I got the email for interview late August/September. I'm not thst long in the CS and have little to no clue how these panels or roles are filled

Has anyone gotten an interview date yet? My email was for the initial batch based on the wording but nothing yet

Just as I was replying here to say I have gotten mine yet an email popped up with a date for end of next week.

Possibly going week by week with them

My interview was originally scheduled for today too but has been rescheduled to the week of the 15th due to A/L and a conflict of interest with a board member. I’m curious to know how many candidates are being interviewed in the initial batch

Still baffled at how this competition has played out. Not being in the initial interview batch and having no OOM number, I wonder are we likely to hear before the end of the year or will it drag into 2026?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33 VANS_95

It was the same with the tax specialist HEO competition there was no OOM’s provided until after interview

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 KJG88

They are definitely moving through the first batch in some kind of order because I've not heard about an interview date yet. So, some kind of internal OOM has surely been used? Unless they just haven't started Dublin or Kildare yet

Hello everyone. I am on a panel for Executive officer tax, audit and compliance and my location is Mayo. Will this HEO competition mean more EO positions become available?

    Thanks.

Just got an email with order of merit and that there may be a number of candidates on same ooo.

Calling candidates for interview in batches over the coming months.

I have an interview next week found out last week and just got oom today. They had to have been using some logic to go through them as I know someone who got called for interview on the 1st of Sept

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 KJG88

It is great to finally have an OOM! At least we know where we stand though. I'm surprised that they seem to be going purely off the Online Assessment scores and not considering the actual application form. Guess the interview will be the great equaliser haha :)
