Visited OH in hospital this evening. He is comfortable and settled in bed. He'd much rather be at home, with my tea-making skills on tap! 🍵

He has an angiogram tomorrow, so really hoping the results will be as good as can be hoped for. 🙏 🫰🫰

A very relaxing w/e, not too much boozing (for a change). Although I got so much done Saturday morning - laundry, big shop, car into service, lawn mowed, garden tidied, daughter's bike to service, walk back after dropping off said bike - that I had to have a couple of cold ones. Didn't I?

On the balcony here, trying to figure out what to do with myself. Slept like three hours last night, for the second night in a row. That stomach bug was no joke, I'll spare you the details. Got some essentials dropped off earlier today, thank god for stores that offer delivery, so I should be okay for now.

Oh, and on the bright side, Intreo have given their thumbs up to that developer training program I signed up for! Waiting for the onboarding paperwork and class schedule!

All okay here, OH was discharged from the hospital at 9pm, after his angiogram this afternoon and waiting for the results from the doctor and some further tests.

All clear on the results and no stent needed, but he will be seeking a second opinion.

Deskside in my home office, desk fan on full blast on this very humid and muggy August day. The air outside is very still and close.

Why is it that when you are really relying on IT systems - my work shared drive and MS Teams in this case - they let you down badly? Grrrr!!

At least I'm finished up my work for the day… off to grab a much needed ice pop from the freezer. 🍧🍭

Homeside here, not really doing much. I haven't really celebrated by birthday for the last decade, certainly not since my parents passed away back in 2017, so I didn't really do much today. Hopefully, I'll be in a bit more of a party mood next year…

COVID lock down colleague of mine will be released as an A320 Captain tomorrow night, so party time, we did so many crazy trips through Africa, then he left to fly the B777 for a year before starting A320 training, and tomorrow it ends. So happy for this guy.
