Any idea how long it takes for your medical results? not the smt i know thats usually a bit after

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 Kilks2362

For those who have had their medical, do you only get a date for one after you’ve passed your fitness?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13 kellzo101

yes believe so, medical should be about 4 weeks after PCA, you will get a form for your GP to fill in too

Does anyone have any idea about the time scales of the merit list, assuming vetting and everything clears ok?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 88 ✭✭fergie199

Not specifically on time line but I understand there are intakes at the end of each month this year ie sep,Oct, Nov with each intake around 40persons. These are made up from those already on the 21-24 year merit list and now with the 25 merit list.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11 MichaelHawkins54

ah I’m 1000+ in the merit list so I’ll have a bit of a wait if it’s done monthly by the 40.

does anyone have an idea of how many people got fast tracked? Trying to figure out how many in the merit list are already going through the managed stages

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11 bmcd9

in the 400 range, does being fast tracked and through all the manned stages put me in a better position compared to those >400 but not through manned stages

I’ve heard that each class could contain up to 60. There’s also only 72 candidates left from 2021 campaign currently progressing through the managed stages.

if you’re being fast tracked, will they make sure your vetting goes through as fast as possible, or will it still take the standard time+longer depending on personal circumstances?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Randomdays123

the classes will contain 35-40 was confirmed on the freedom of information request

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Randomdays123

will they have enough capacity and funding to get through everyone who’s on the merit list? I’m being fast tracked but I’m worried incase one of my stages takes longer or is postponed and I end up not even getting a place on a course if they’ve limited ones running?

my question got answered if anyone hasn’t seen this yet! Positive news that over half the pool is already through to managed stages, hopefully not too long for the rest of us

Has anyone that done their PCA last week heard anything about medical yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 Randomdays123

did you hear that you passed the PCA on the spot? Also how’d you find it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13 kellzo101

yes you wait til everyone is finished, then they hand you an envelope informing of result. If result is a pass you’ll have medical questionnaire for you to fill out and give to GP. Then your to expect an email for date of medical assessment but haven’t got it yet
