Town's most infamous hooligan has been back the last 7 weeks. Photo is like something from a Clonmel version of Back to the Future. Drinking cans in the graveyard like it's the 1990's again. I suppose when you spend so long locked up, memories from decades ago are still fairly fresh and the 90's are still very close to the heart.

Don't know who that is but at least give us his initials he might be well known.

"Towns most infamous hooligan" isn't really narrowing it down much

There's enough stuff here to keep you reading for hours. If anyone has access the Irish Newspaper Archive has all the old court reports from The Nationalist, fascinating reading from a sociological viewpoint, really blows the myth that things in the town were much better before the explosion of drug use in the 90's, the amount of alcohol related thuggery and general crime like burglary is off the charts and then from the mid 90's drug possession cases explode and drug related crime starts to become far more relevant.

God there's a throwback the Nationalist used to be entertaining reading back in the days when the court reports were in the inside pages. Most of them were some lads or ladies drunk and disorderly having arguments or shouting too loud, the odd drink driving case, no tax on the car or, my personal favourite, illegal dumping fines. Naming and shaming the dirty articles who were too tight to pay for a bin. Some sad domestic violence cases too like breaches of barring orders which must have been sad for the women and children involved but at the same time they might have encouraged friends and neighbours to keep an eye out.
