I'll be staying in Waterford for a few days from Monday week. Was hoping to get a couple of games played. I've never played in Waterford. Would anyone here recommend Faithlegg, Tramore , Waterford castle? I see they all have open days. There's also an open week in Mount Juliet if it was worth traveling the extra distance. What would folks here recommend?

All good courses, Tramore probably the best but not by huge amount. Tramore has open week starting Friday. A few fairways patchy still after dry spell but greens excellent. Castle in good nick, haven’t played Faithlegg this year yet.

Mount Juliet a cut above as it has hosted WGC and European Tour events. Open week there next week, €80 range.

If you're looking for a decent deal on golf. The "Waterford Triangle" do a good deal on greensfees for a set of 3 courses,

    • Gold Coast
    • Dungarvan
    • West Waterford

Think you can get a deal to play all 3 for under €100

True, they're good too. About a 40-45 min drive from town.

To be fair if you catch Tramore, Castle, Faithlegg on open days you will pay under €100 too. Tramore Friday open is €30 for visitors, Castle the same on a Thursday.

Forgot about that one. It’s decent but busy and quite tight. Tight in the “FORE!” sense.

Mt Juliet if you get it at a decent rate..

New Ross short spin is a cracking members course , not expensive and always in good condition..

Thanks everyone for the advice and recommendations. Will try plan it out properly in next couple of days, need to work around the schedule of others too. Sounds like all courses are decent options
