Interesting how the Zionist bots / psychos on social media will spin this one. Will they claim that the Israeli public are 'anti-Semitic' for going against Netanyahu and his cabinet?

The stains of what the alleged War Criminal will never wash off.

Smotrich is formidable (not in a pleasant way) - I reckon he'll eat Netanyahu alive whilst Ben-Gvir watches in rapture. I'd sign up for pay-per-view for that one alright.

I'd say many Israelis are just praying for his court case to reconvene and for him to be slung into jail to rot.

With all this going on, I can imagine some of those receiving their call-up orders will simply toss the paper in the bin. Others of course will be salivating. Including some on here. But I doubt they'll get 200,000 reservists rocking up to Gaza City with a pep in their step.

Here's a bit more detail on Smotrich throwing his toys out of his pram.

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich posted a filmed statement on X Saturday evening, saying that he has "lost faith that the prime minister can and wants to lead the IDF to victory." He said the purpose of Netanyahu's Gaza plan "is not victory, but putting pressure on Hamas to bring it to a partial hostage deal, while saying clearly that if Hamas agrees to a deal, we will agree to stop again, to withdraw again, to allow it to recover and rearm again."

"Smotrich's attack on Netanyahu is part of a growing sense of dissatisfaction among different and contrasting parts of the public with the current state of the Gaza war.

Almost two years after October 7, Netanyahu's promises of 'total victory' are nowhere to be seen, as hostages continue to languish in Hamas' tunnels, soldiers die in guerilla warfare amid the rubble and the world is turning away from Israel.

If the prime minister will surrender to Smotrich's demands, none of these problems will be solved, and most of them will get even worse" – Amir Tibon

Not sure what to make of Netanyahu's monologue on telly - "wants to free MOST of the hostages"? Most? Not all? Peculiar. Then blames the length of the war on the cease-fires that resulted in hostages being released. I can only imagine the hostage families being apoplectic. He's definitely losing the plot altogether. Maybe he's got wind of a scheme to squirrel him off to the Hague.

Also, seems the majority of Germans are now in favour of the recognition of the State of Palestine. Won't belong before Germany rows in behind France, UK and Canada. Maybe even in September.

Netanyahu said in a televised press conference that Israel wants "to free most of the hostages and defeat Hamas to decisively end it" and blamed the length of the war on previous deals, saying, "The war has also lasted a long time because we paused for the sake of freeing hostages."

54% of Germans support recognizing a Palestinian state, according to a poll by the Forsa Institute for the foreign policy journal Internationale Politik, a move the federal government currently rejects.

When Israel isn't executing Palestinian kids, it finds other things to do to pass the time. (Apologies - the full article is paywalled. But I found a FOE article about news item)

This Was One of the Last Bridges Between Jews and Arabs. Israel Demolished It, Too
On the morning of Thursday, July 31, Israeli military forces, accompanied by bulldozers, arrived at the site of one of the two propagation units of the Palestinian National Seed Bank in the West Bank city of Hebron. The bank, established in 2010, is dedicated to collecting, multiplying and preserving local plant seeds, with an emphasis on heirloom varieties of crops and plants of economic importance.

These two reporter lads apparently killed by Israel -

They need to clear space for settler seeds to come in and take over, as is their god given right. I always find it interesting that the cheerleaders ignore these types of abuses, especially any that occur in the West Bank for whatever reason, in their blind defending of Israeli activity. I guess these types of human rights abuses are harder to defend with 'but Hamas' or accusing the seeds of being anti-Semites.

Below is a picture of the food that Jews could expect to enjoy every lunchtime in Auschwitz.

    Untitled-1.jpg

It's time-stamped so it must be true.

    Presumably.

As well as executing more journalists than in any other war, Israel has murdered medics/doctors and aid workers - just confirmed by UN

The UN's humanitarian office, OCHA, said that over 500 humanitarian workers have been killed in Gaza since the war began.

Their bloodlust is out of control.

Long been suspected that journalists are the actual target of the Israelis and are killed deliberately. The chances that hundreds of working journalists could 'accidentally' be killed in Gaza are a billion to one.

What the fcuk? What is your point? This is a meaningless photo. The prisoners of Auschwitz were starving and many starved to death. Are you trying to rewrite history here or what??

it's a response to @political analyst who recently posted a video "proving" Red Velvet Cake was served in Khan Younis in recent days. That post maintained that as the video was timestamped, it was irrefutable proof that there is no Genocide or starvation in Gaza.

    Powerful Jeremy Bowen report.

It's a long one but delves into the history and MO of the Settlers plus Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.

If you can't read it all (but I strongly recommend you do), skip to the last few paras.

Oh sorry. I didn't see that. There is no point arguing with political analyst, I think he is underage anyway.

Indeed. A total of five are killed in the incident-

"Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif has been killed alongside four colleagues in a targeted Israeli attack on a tent housing journalists in Gaza City.

Seven people were killed in the attack on the tent located outside the main gate of Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital late on Sunday evening, including Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Qreiqeh and camera operators Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa."

Here's something about the most recent Israeli attack in which 'journalists' were killed.

There is zero evidence Anas-Al-Sharif ever was a member of Hamas.

The only source saying so are the pricks in the IDF who have murdered and slaughted thousands of innocent children.

Why do you believe every word that comes out of the Israeli government's mouths? They've been lying to you in plain sight for decades.

I wonder will they also ask Israel to demilitarise, leave the occupied territories and recognise Palestine's right to exist? The conditions are always put on the Palestinians...

You've been asked before to provide credible an d corroborated evidence from reputable news organisations.

You simply repeat the demonstrable lies of Israel and its supporters. Your continuation of posting dubious sources of news is just spamming the thread.

I get that you are a staunch supporter of Israel and its assassinations, atrocities and war crimes - and you're entitled to that position. But at least have the manners to prove your case rather than continuing to post utter rubbish.

RTE (also reflected in BBC reporting)
"In July, the Committee to Protect Journalists issued a statement calling for his protection as it accused the Israeli military's Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee of stepping up online attacks on the reporter by alleging that he was the head of a Hamas cell.

Following the attack, the CPJ said it was "appalled" to learn of the journalists' deaths.

"Israel's pattern of labelling journalists as militants without providing credible evidence raises serious questions about its intent and respect for press freedom," said CPJ Regional Director Sara Qudah."

Not that we need any additional proof after their two year war crime spree, but Israel consistently does all it can to hide the truth of its atrocities from the eyes of the world.

But people are increasingly aware of their tactics and are not being fooled any longer.

Undoubtedly, the evidence files in the ICC and ICJ are continuing to be updated and will provide the unassailable proof that will serve justice on the individual war crime perpetrators and the genocidal state of Israel.

On recognition of the State of Palestine, I would imagine there would be full recognition of the ICJ ruling last year that Israel (and the Settlers) must leave all occupied territories and pay reparations.

We have this huge headline this morning about these journalists, Al-Sharif singled out, and his colleagues. Really points to Israels murderous intent that the singled out persons death also brought about 6 other deaths, but the non journalistic deaths of 2 ordinary citizens I assume, are just a sidelined mention. All we get are numbers every day of this murderous campaign, people, almost always innocent men, women and children, unnamed, but dead and wiped out nonetheless. Over 60000 now, but it takes a famous death to personalise it for a seemingly very uncaring world.

I hope this brings focus on the fact that deaths of people seeking food, trying to survive a virtual Holocaust, are dying everyday, not just terrorists or alleged terrorists. This is a daily, hourly occurrence for the unnamed. Time to put a stop to this slaughter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,894 ✭✭✭dmcdona

Very good point. The innocent civilians caught up in these assassinations are often a sideline. But I think the point of highlighting the execution of Press Workers is to show how Israel controls the narrative in Gaza in the only way it can - murder.

Imagine what would happen if Jeremy Bowen or Fergal Keane were assassinated by the IDF.

The world is starting to care now as are Israeli citizens. Their murderous Govt. will be brought to justice and pay for their crimes. The world view is crystallising - the US is still sitting on the fence but even they cannot ignore international revulsion for too much longer.

Those holding the hostages seem quite happy to let the current situation fester on?

I see very little 5 message monologues highlighting their activities.
