Like something you'd expect from a Tory Government -

"At least 365 people have been arrested at a demonstration in London in support of proscribed group Palestine Action, police say.

Scores of people simultaneously unveiled handwritten signs with the message "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action" at the protest, organised by Defend Our Juries at Westminster's Parliament Square."

Maybe in hindsight, removing Jeremy Corbyn because he was an alleged 'anti semite' has not aged so well.

The subsequent purge of pro-palestinian labour activists played right into the hands of the Tories and the Israeli government

    Chomsky(2017) on the Republican party

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"

The Israelis have had 80 years of never been pulled up on anything. They get away with blue murder. If an American citizen is killed in another country, there are serious ramifications, inquests etc. Israel can quite literally get away with killing Americans (see USS Liberty) and the yanks look the other way. Of course when you've had 3 generations of never been pulled to heel, you're going to develop some serious control issues.

Israels hold over the US is strange really. You'd almost swear they had some compromising videos of important people buggering little children. Considering they do give known American paedophiles asylum, you'd almost think that's something to have in the back pocket, should the Epstein files ever reveal anything....

I reserve my name—calling for Israel and the IDF - not for posters. I think I'm pretty civil.

Who else is in your league table? I'd imagine you've given Ben-Gvir and Smotrich joint first place. Though if there's bonus points for being an alleged War Criminal (at large), it could be Netanyahu and Gallant of course.

latest strap lines from Haaretz show international pressure on Israel is quickly mounting - and the starvation death toll is climbing.

The United Nations Security Council is set to convene Sunday for an emergency session over Israel's decision to capture Gaza City and enact Israeli control over the entire Gaza Strip. Israel's UN mission said the session was requested by the U.K.

    • On Friday, the foreign ministers of Australia, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and the United Kingdom strongly condemned Israel's plans for Gaza, saying they "risk violating international humanitarian law."
    • United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said on Friday that he was "gravely alarmed" and warned the decision was "a dangerous escalation."

Jewish groups in North America, including prominent pro-Israel organizations, issued statements warning against a newly approved Israeli plan to expand military operations in Gaza. The American Jewish Committee, a leading mainstream Jewish organization, said, "The profound risks posed by a full military takeover of Gaza City cannot be overlooked."

The Gaza Health ministry said 11 people died of malnutrition and starvation in the previous day, bringing the total number of malnutrition-related deaths to 212.

Confirmation that Netanyahu will not accede to the wishes of Israelis for an enquiry - simply to save his own skin.

He couldn't care less about the hostages or those who died on Oct 7th. He only cares about himself.

"The army has completed its investigations into the run-up to the war and the fighting on October 7.

To his credit, Halevi displayed transparency and openness; he released many of the details and conclusions to the public, even if differences remain about the accuracy of some of the probes.

That situation sharply contrasts with what we're seeing in the civilian arena. Using feeble excuses, Netanyahu is curbing every attempt to appoint a state commission of inquiry, along with his absolute refusal to admit an iota of responsibility for Hamas' October 7 massacres. As long as he's in power, there is no chance an independent commission will be appointed" – Amos Harel

Not only is international pressure mounting, internal pressure is too.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's a violent uprising against the monsters in charge - and quite right too.

Very strong words including asking the international community to sanction Israel to "save its dying soul" and there's direct threats against alleged War Criminal #1 (at large). Hopefully, there is a real possibility enough people will support and assist his transport to The Hague. That's what happened to Duterte….

Hostages' families called for a shutdown of Israel's economy following the security cabinet decision.

    • Anat Angrest, whose son, Matan, is held hostage in Gaza, addressed the Israeli public and business leaders in a statement, saying. "Will you be with me when I call to halt everything? …. The silence is deadly."
    • Vicky Cohen, the mother of hostage Nimrod Cohen, also appealed to the public, saying: "There is only one way to stop this: to stop everything.
    • Israeli lawmaker Ofer Cassif of the left-wing Hadash-Ta'al party called on the international community to sanction Israel to save the "hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who have been starved and slaughtered," as well as the "tortured Israeli hostages. He added that sanctions would"save the dying soul of Israeli society."
    • Israelis are protesting around the country to call for a hostage/cease-fire deal, with the main protest taking place in Tel Aviv.
    • Einav Zangauker, the mother of hostage Matan Zangauker, spoke outside of Defense Ministry headquarters ahead of the protests. Addressing Netanyahu, she vowed that if the hostages were killed because of the approved military action, "we will go after you in the squares, in the elections and at any time and place."

there's a lot to unpack after Israel's agreement to take over Gaza hence multiple posts (I hope they are informative - they're certainly not lies anyhow)

It seems the security cabinet meeting was a bit of a bun fight alright. They'll be eating each other soon enough. Its going downhill faster than that Israeli Olympic bob sleigh bloke someone posted about recently anyhow.

Sources said that during the security cabinet session that resulted in the decision, the plan was opposed by National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Shas Chairman Arye Dery and Mossad Director David Barnea.

    • A source said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir sharply criticized the proposal at the meeting, saying the IDF would need three months to prepare and to call up 200,000 reservists.
    • The source said security cabinet members, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Netanyahu, were outraged, with the latter claiming the timeline he presented was excessive and exaggerated.

Some very disturbing detail here on Likud and their far-right mates.

It really could be a mirror image of the 1930s…

"Lawmakers from the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, former senior military officials and lawmakers from the ruling Likud party have been using uncannily similar language lately.

Likud's Hanoch Milwidsky, the new head of the Knesset Finance Committee who is also being investigated on suspicions of rape, declaimed on Channel 14 in mid-July:

'Enough of talking about [hostage release] deals at all. ... We need to take land. ... You kill their people, they don't care, destroy buildings – they don't even care about famine. What they care about is land.'

We should have known this was coming: Amit Segal, the political commentator who is the closest person to the government in the mainstream media, argued the same logic in January in The Wall Street Journal.

Someone gave it to someone and suddenly that line is everywhere"

There really is a plethora of news items tonight - one more from Turkey below.

Today is day 673. Israel no closer to completing any of its objectives set nearly two years ago. Well, other than illegally expanding its territory and Genociding Palestinians of course.

The current internal and external pressure is unprecedented. The only thing stopping Israel imploding is the US. How long will that hold I wonder? Even US Jewish groups are sticking the boot in now.

Turkey's foreign minister said Muslim nations must work in total unison to mobilize the international community against Israel's plan to take control of Gaza City, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Saturday after talks in Egypt.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also said the Organization of Islamic Cooperation had been called to an emergency meeting.

Erdogon is as duplicitous as ever. Talking the talk to keep the electorate onboard while continuing to trade with Israel and cooperate with them when it suits.

466 arrested in London yesterday for protesting against the Gaza slaughter, more than in the Poll Tax riots. The arrests included a Jewish woman in her 90's who fled Germany as a refugee, a blind man in a wheelchair and a former Guantanmao Bay detainee. The establishment is literally willing to disregard every social norm and morality to support this Zionist canker sore in the Middle East.

Again thousands and thousands of Israelis on the streets protesting the updated Government plans . But it's all the Israeli population let's not forget . Soon to be all Jews .

Good to see the protests in Israel. Perhaps the penny have dropped for the population there that the regime there is doingvthe wrong thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 527 ✭✭✭freebritney

They are protesting about the hostages not being released and that the new offensive will put their lives at risk, the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza wasn't mentioned. Poll after poll in Israel shows the vast majority of the Israeli population supports the governments actions in Gaza. It's not all the population of course, but its most. Nice try by the way with the subtle attempt at playing the anti semitism card, that ship has sailed I'm afraid.

    • In June 2025, a Hebrew University poll showed that 64% of Israelis believed there was no need for more coverage of Gazan civilian suffering Wikipedia.
    • Another poll in July 2025 reported that 79% of Israeli Jews were “not so troubled” or “not troubled at all” by reports of famine and suffering in Gaza Wikipedia.

Not all, but 4 out of 5.

Every thing you say is made up . Except the anti semitism ship has sailed . It has . It's free reign on all Jews now. Kind of like what people were hoping for a long time . Congrats.

Just how much more will USrAel be allowed to get away with by the rest of the world?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,227 ✭✭✭Sweet.Science

This is true though . Hamas don't care about anything other than land .

I wonder if that means that all Israelis are guilty the way we were told that all Palestinians were guilty?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 527 ✭✭✭freebritney

The victim card is gone kid, time for a new angle. You don't get to commit a genocide and also play the victim. What did I make up? The arrests in London or the research by the Hebrew University showing 4 out of 5 Israeli's were "not so troubled" or "not troubled at all" by the suffering in Gaza.

Why do supporters of Israel always have to resort to lies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 527 ✭✭✭freebritney

When the whole premise of your country is a lie then your default setting is always going to be lies. Remember, they lie and they lie and they lie and then lie some more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 653 ✭✭✭Lawlesz

It’s always a bit strange how these pro genocide accounts seem to work in rotation. We will have 2 or 3 here for a few days until they’re backed into a corner and shown how hypocritical they are and they’ll run off and disappear. Another 2 or 3 will take over then and rinse and repeat.

Very few are able to engage in any kind of constructive debate. And even the ones who were capable of that earlier in the thread have gone off the deep end in recent weeks. Now that the rest of the world have been awakened to the barbarity of the Israeli government, they’re like a flailing boxer in the final round, throwing jabs left and right but very few if any are actually landing.

Given that the Russians have been known to use bot farms to try to influence online opinion, I am surprised it hasn’t been discussed more here.

Well then they have something in common with the likes of Smotrich and Ben Gvir and the man holding up a map of greater Israel.

You won't be as keen to acknowledge that truth ,though, because you'd have to confront your own double standards to do so

Political Analyst, just incase you missed this post due to being busy,I have re posted it again. There have been a couple of other questions put to you that you have not answered

Now I know it's not because you don't like answering questions you find awkward. Afterall since you are so confident Israel is doing nothing wrong in Gaza you should be able to confidently field any question put to you. Over to you ..
