    Hi folks,

Any recommendations on how to approach this course? Heard it’s hilly in places, I live in a flat enough area so don’t have much training with hills and have never ran the course itself!

    Thanks a mil

It's less about the hills (mostly in the second and fourth miles) than the drag up the narrow paths on Chesterfield then the wind on the exposed Acres section of the course - so miles 5, 6 and 7 are the really tough ones in my opinion. It's definitely a test. Hold back in the first half.

Was about to post the exact same thing as OP!

If anyone had a GPS/strava or similar link to course elevation that would be much appreciated, not run in the park for a long time!

There's been some positive feedback on the 10 mile over on the Dublin Marathon thread under the events sub forum but thought I might as well post mine here

Had a great day, weather helped, warm enough but sun didn't stay for too long or cause too much bother. Queue for toilets was 15 mins which is pretty acceptable in my book. Bag drop and collect very quick. No issues with any of the organisation at all tbh, nice t-shirt and decent little goody bag.

Have run big city marathons but it's been a long time and not run an event with thousands of others for over 10 years, had forgotten what a buzz it is and how all that group of runners do carry you along.

Enjoyed the park, it is beautiful and we're lucky to have it, I appreciate if running it very often people get used to it though. And agree 10 miles is a nice distance, the miles flew in! Was delighted with my time, thought had gone out too fast but managed to sustain without blowing up. Well done to all the organisers marshals etc 👏
