i recently watched velvet goldmine, and the main character is loosely based off bowie. ofc ive heard of bowie already but when searching to see what the other charcters were based off, there were names that i recognised but didnt undertsand the significance of.

i watched The Doors film before knwoing it was a real band.

i like alot of indie music that currently circuilates but i want to get better and more cool so, after all this rambling i want to ask where could i learm more about the different eras of music (spefically the ones in the title but im also not picky). films, shows, youtube videos, articles. all of it.

you might ask youself, well u(me) probaly didnt grow up in these eras but dont u ask someone who did? problem is that all the adults in my life are like 70+ or who im not close enough to ask such questions. (i grew up in foster and dont have a close realtiosnhip with eiter of my parents who did grow up in these eras). so i have had to come to the next best thing, the internet.

i could also searcj on google but theres so much stuff i woudlnt know where to start, whether its accuracte ect.

    thank u :)
