Anyone any ideas ? our regular alarm guy is away, garage door showing " fault" intermittently - then its fine.

ive attached a picture, its a garage door sensor - can i just replace the black plastic sensor on the smaller door receiver side - as the floor mechanism should be ok ? door still lines up etc, so not sure if the sensor has just gone on the door panel ?

can i whip out and replace myself - the sensor on the door ? its held in by 2 screws.

btw, ive cleaned / brushed around the sensors, not that this would make a difference, and there is no water ingress.

    tks
