Go back and read years of discussion and thoughts. Tis club time now.

A decent win for the Boro they looked a bit rusty and will need to be sharper the next day. Lisdowney fought hard and Evan McEvoy made a big impact when introduced scoring 1-3 in the second half. I assume he isn't fit or something, I don't know why he wouldn't start otherwise. A tower of man he fought fierce hard when he came on. Cillian Hackett caused Lisdowney trouble everytime the ball went in to the Boro FF line he got a couple of goals and a few points as well and only for the holding of the Lisdowney FB he could have got more.

Young Paddy Lacey did well from greed and took his points well, when he got the chance of the goal he rifled it home from a very tight angle. Tallis brought of some good saves to keep it tight, tighter than it probably should have been. A good first outing for the Boro but bigger and tougher tests lie ahead. Lisdowney fought hard but in this group of death it's hard to see how they stay out of a relegation semi. Hopefully they will be battle hardened from this group and manage to stay up.

Good showing by glenmore against ó Loughlins. Bit of inaccuracy and missed goal chances stopped it being a surprise. Loughlins got a boost from the bench with heary getting a couple of points.

Good start to thomastown title defence coming from behind to beat tullaroan. Colm treacy has been a great addition to the forwards. You'd expect both of these to finish top 2. Comer must be fairly weak. Missing Michael Brennan and Fogarty, only had about 1-7 after 45 minutes.

Surely is club time now but as a wise man once said,"There's something rotten in the state of Denmark"

We have exceptional people holding court at pivotal positions in the CB and indeed on the Senior team. The polar opposite is also true.Unfortunately.

Time to clean house and get rid of the weak and lets not have groundhog day in '26.

11 years without Liam isn't acceptable for us as a county. We arent a watery breed of people, historically.

Ah god, where were you the week after the semi final? We've had about 4-5 weeks of this since then and even those of us that gave out in the first few weeks are sick of it. Can't we just enjoy a few weeks of the brilliant club championships that we have before we start it up again.

Not too many upsets this weekend, can see most people being on similar points in the Ballycallan forecast game!

The fine weather helped but 10 of the 12 senior clubs scored over 20 points not including goals. The nest of 3 matches I attended was Thomastown against Tullaroan. The latter led by 1-13 to 11 points at half time before Thomastown hit a purple patch to lead by 5. Tullaroan fought back only to have a pass intercepted by Stephen Donnelly who goaled. Stephen and John Donnelly played well. Zack Bay was the best athlete on show but not the best hurler. Diarmuid Galway was back in goal, his puckouts were landing on the 20 metre line. I expect him to be playing for Kilkenny next year. Tullaroan's goalkeeper, Niall Holland, scored 3 frees.

Shane Walsh scored 1-1 from play before getting injured early. Mossy did well. Gearoid Dunne played wing back, scored 4 points but lacks pace

Clara beat Graig Ballycallan by a point with strong Paul Cody scoring 4 points. Clara have a number of light players, Rory Glynn scored 1-2 but may struggle on heavier pitches

GB hit 13 wides, Clara 14 wides. By contrast, Ballyhale had 4 wides when scoring 3-23 against the Bridge

Clara goalkeeper had 3 good saves. Ryan Corcoran looked dangerous. Conor Flynn playing in the forwards

Did the 2 eds, McDermott and lauhoff play for the village yesterday?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,778 ✭✭✭Village87

Ed Mc is sick at the moment out for a few weeks. Ed Lahouf played in the full forward line

Lauhoff didn't start. Came on with 15/20 to go

Just to **** things up, Derek Lyng was in Freshford yesterday looking at Dicksboro and Lisdowney. Boro won by 8pts. But it could have been double that only for the three or four great saves made by Adrian Tallis who certainly deserves his place on the KKteam despite the opinions of avery knowledgeable man beside me.Lyngcoulddoworsebybringingin TomKenny and Cillian Hackett. Patrick Lacey did very well scoring 1-05 ,1-02 from play in his first senior outing no doubt brought on by the excellent coaching of his uncle Paks.

Does anyone know the results from all the KK academy games yesterday I do know that KK were beating LK in the Arrabawn QF by six points at one stage .

The KK senior team needs an injection of youth next year.

I was in at the U15 Arrabawn match. Great performance by KK, beating Limerick by 10pts. Some lovely hurlers on the team and very big and powerful in plenty of positions too

Thanks for that info mooz, did you hear any other results?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 163 ✭✭mooz

Not 100% but I think Tipp defeated Cork as far as I know

Town legend is dead right the CB would love everyone to forget . Is the crisis over no **** way.

The U16s were beaten by 10 points by Galway, my nephew is on it and he said all the Kilkenny team played poorly. They had beaten Clare the week before and beat Tipp before that.

Both U14 teams topped their group of 3. Beaten both Galway teams, Wexford and Dublin. Leinster teams not in Tony Forristal/Sony Walsh tournament this year. Different stories as to why not

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,778 ✭✭✭Village87

Tom Kenny would be better than Reid Deegan and Carey, much better athlete than Deegan and Reid and much better hurler than Carey. I think he had a rough ride in there with previous management and declined invitations with current management.

Thanks for the info, that’s brutal about non participation in the Tony Forristal although we seldom won it. I wonder what the reason is?

One of the best individual displays I've seen over the weekend was from Anthony Ireland-Wall of Danesfort. He was in devastating form, so accurate and must've scored a serious tally from play. The KK GAA website has the incorrect winners down as Danesfort won comfortably. St Lachtains could be in for a tough time by the looks of their first performance. Des Dunne also a standout performer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 704 ✭✭✭Krazy gang

That's a serious result by danesfort and a bit worrying for st lachtains. Expecting a close one in that. Is James Maher around? Didn't see his name on the programme.

Carrickshock had a good win too with a few minors playing. Blacks and whites look in for another difficult season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,430 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

James Maher is living in Bali now. Seems to be a full time Hyrox athlete

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,412 ✭✭✭blackcard

At half time, Danesfort had scored 2-16 with only 2 wides. I was impressed with Daire O'Neill at wing back. He had scored 1-2 when I left with 5 minutes to go

Are you the self-appointed guardian of Kilkenny hurling? You also tell us you encountered a man more knowledgeable than yourself in Freshford. You should have him preserved!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,395 ✭✭✭Marrooned

don’t know where you’re coming from with this , with only two posts you seem to be around a long time ago, have you some sort of agenda. The person I refer to beside me is a friend of mine not that it’s any of your business.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 NJoyKkGAA

You’re absolutely right on three fronts, you’ll be glad to hear. I have only two posts to date. I have been around a long time. You can go to matches, observe, talk to and talk about whom ever you choose. However, maybe where we differ is that I go to matches to watch, support and encourage teams. I wouldn’t particularly mind if the Pope, Santa or the tooth fairy were there, I would say hallo to them and move on 😺

I’m struggling to understand what you’re on about. If it’s something personal you can use the mail box to sort it out.

Fairly sure they won it last year beating Wexford in the final.
