    Geoff Keighley might be a nice guy, but his thrice-annual, ultra bland, heavily corporate ad showcase events are a blight on the industry. It’s amazing that the first party ‘direct’ events increasingly tend to feel more focused, engaging and “authentic”, despite also being ad reels!

    It was fine. Some decent enough looking games in it, didn't overstay its welcome. Nothing amazing though.

    And the final game reveal of something which looked really cool and interesting... and it's Call of Duty Black Ops. Looked cool, but just means it'll be a fun 6-8 hour campaign and just going through weapons/abilities you'll use in the multiplayer.

    Finishing your annual showcase on a CODBLOPS is so effing meh to me.

    I don't care about the "World Première" stuff that much, but it is worrying that certain long announced titles have gone AWOL.

    Devs are confirming this year, but also that it's not tied to a console (or handheld release). So good chance it'll actually be released before the RogXboxAllyX.

    I'm guessing mid-Nov release for that handheld, so late Oct/early Nov for Silksong, perhaps?

    The Xbox Ally isn't for me, but I can't see it being cheap. IGN guy reckons $800/650 for the X/Standard, which is a significant chunk of money for a handheld, but if implemented properly could be a Deck competitor. Can you currently play PC Gamepass on a Deck?

    Beast of Reincarnation looks good, but probably another Soulslike judging by the description. Hopefully not. Another BlOps straight after the last one was a BlOps too. Ugh. Outer Worlds 2 is doing nothing for me. The first one I remember enjoying playing, but I remember very little of it. Clockwork Revolution looks good, will be keeping an eye on that. High on Life 2 gave me a headache watching it. Was never able for Super Meat Boy, but the 3D one looks like a good evolution of the idea. Looks fun for those who are into it. Thought Aphelion was the next Deliver Us… game initially, looks good and developed in cooperation with the ESA which is cool! Keeper looks suitably DoubleFine. Thought Invincible VS was going to be a Netherealm game.

    Finally, Aniimo is the next target for Nintendo to sue by the looks of it! Not a bad showcase overall, bit long so happy I forgot about it and only saw the trailers before bed last night. Nothing got me overly excited, but very little does these days. Even Silksong, which I was excited for once I eventually enjoyed the first one, it's tempered out because of how long it's taking.

    Thought that Aniimo was Pal world and the song along with it seemed to be saying Pal World in a Bugsnax type song.

    Best part of The Outer Worlds 2 direct is they revealed you can also play in 3rd-person view. My interest in the game has been raised significantly.

    This is happening Wednesday. Given that they're also celebrating the 30th anniversary of Ace Combat, might they reveal AC8 during the presentation?? Although I can't think of a single person on boards who would be excited by that.

    Hamster just announced Air Combat 22, the arcade only ace combat game that never got a home conversion today so I wouldn't be surprised if we get an Ace Combat 8 announcement.
