    Hi

Anyone know where I can get this fixed in Dublin? Apart from a main dealer as they've a waiting list of two months

    "Alarm system failure service required"

Same issues cropped up on my Mondeo MK4 so if your XC90 was made when Ford and Volvo were united could be the same thing.

Battery backup sounder goes bad, located in passenger wheel arch, gets water ingress and fails.

I stopped the message coming up in the meantime by changing alarm in settings from full guard to reduced.

Should be an easy quick fix either way

It can be the back up battery in the alarm siren. Depending on the year it's probably unable to charge any more.

That's right, 2018. Need to replace whole unit

You can actually change the battery if you're any way handy.
