8 days on the first charge. I'm at 78% now after 3.5 days so should be over 10 days this time.

    Getting close to 2 weeks.

Curious if people who are getting considerably shorter have WiFi on, which isn't really necessary if paired with phone via BT.

Charging mine today for the first time just shy of 13 days. I am not using for sleep tracking or playing music but have tracked a few workouts and walks etc so very happy

Haven't really needed to properly charge it yet, I pop it on the charger when I jump in shower and that seems to keep it topped up enough for me.

I look at the screen a fair bit, and i don't wait for it to complain and i don't charge past 95%

Lasts me 5 to 6 days, so when i get bored of checking the features I'll probably get 8 or 9 days.

There appears to be a substantial battery life difference between watches produced in mid-2024 and those marked May 2025 on the box. It seems that those who received the older 2024 stock may be slightly shortchanged on battery life, as those units were likely sitting in a warehouse for several months.

Watch produced 11/24 charged after 8 days first time, on day 9 now with 31% left. Use GPS, tracking sleep etc all on even connected to WiFi a few times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,274 ✭✭✭✭dulpit

Oh actually, I did notice that the battery life on first charge was much lower than it has been on subsequent charges.

For the people having good / bad battery performance, how many minutes do you have the heart rate monitor set to?

    Default 5 minutes.

Getting better battery life between charges as I fiddle. Some settings that could help:

    On Watch:

    - Settings ⇒ Wi-Fi ⇒ disable Wi-Fi

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Brightness ⇒ enable auto brightness (A)

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Screen-on Duration ⇒ 10 Seconds

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Always On ⇒ Enable Status ⇒ Off

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Wake On Wrist Raise ⇒ Enable Status ⇒ Off

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Tap To Wake ⇒ Single tap

    - Settings ⇒ Display ⇒ Wake During Workout ⇒ X disable

    - Settings ⇒ Sound & Vibration ⇒ Ring for Alert = enable

    - Settings ⇒ Sound & Vibration ⇒ Vibrate for Alert = disable

    - Settings ⇒ Sound & Vibration ⇒ Crown Vibration = disable

    - Settings ⇒ Workout ⇒ GPS Settings ⇒ Power Saving

    - Settings ⇒ Workout ⇒ Voice Broadcast ⇒ disable

    - Settings ⇒ Preferences ⇒ Do Not Disturb ⇒ Auto Enable ⇒ Smart DND

    - Settings ⇒ Preferences ⇒ Sleep Mode ⇒ Smart Enable ⇒ enable

Edit: a strangely hard one to find: disable Progress Reminders:

    - Activity App from Watch Apps List ⇒ Scroll Down 4 screen ⇒ Settings ⇒Scroll Down Few Screens Again ⇒ Progress Remind ⇒ disable

I dont disable any of the monitoring (heart rate, stress, sleep, breathing) but these could also save more power if disabled. Also dont disable the screen auto on for a notification but this would save a bit if disabled.

    ZEPP Mobile App:

    - Device icon (bottom right) ⇒ WATCH FACES ⇒ choose a simple watch face with as much black background as possible.

    - Device icon (bottom right) ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS ⇒ NOTIFY ONLY WHEN PHONE IS LOCKED ⇒ enable

    - Device icon (bottom right) ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS ⇒ ALLOW ALL ⇒ disable ⇒ Allow calendar, messaging, phone and banking apps only from app list

    - Device icon (bottom right) ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS ⇒ STAND REMINDERS ⇒ Not Enabled

    - Device icon (bottom right) ⇒ NOTIFICATIONS AND REMINDERS ⇒ ACHIEVEMENTS ⇒ Not Enabled

Im sure I'll discover more but think these have extended battery by a few days anyway. Anyone have any more let me know 👍️

Has anyone signed up to the Zepp Aura paid subscription? I keep getting pinged with discounts etc, assume it's not worth paying for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,100 ✭✭✭✭GBX

Decided against it. Lots of info on Reddit.com r/Amazfit mixed reviews. Wasn't enough for me to pay for it. Watch and app does enough for me.

I signed up for the free trial and have never used it. Funnily enough it stopped pinging me after I signed up 😂

I was only getting 72 hours at most between charges. I don't use the watch for much other than checking steps, heart rate and the time. But it was constantly Bluetooth connected to the phone. Maybe that was draining the battery. I'll switch Bluetooth connection to off and see how long it lasts then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,456 ✭✭✭SteM

That shouldn't be the cause of the problem. Mine is connected all the time.

That's bad, is your screen on all the time or something? I've got Bluetooth on all the time. It drains my phone battery is all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 262 ✭✭Lester_Burnham

Modern Bluetooth doesn't drain battery like that. And it's kind of pointless having the watch of it's not connected.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 729 ✭✭✭mjsc1970

Thanks all. Yeah it's not the Bluetooth. It's lost 20% since full charge this afternoon and that's with Bluetooth off. Also wifi is never on.

And the screen only comes on when I twist to look.

Bizarre. Could be worth turning off "Wake On Wrist Raise" and turning on "Tap To Wake" for a few days.

Is there a way to delete the added locations for weather? It allows five to be added, but I can't see a way to delete one of those to add a new location

I could be wrong, but I think the watch face might have a noticeable impact on battery life.
I switched to the one jj880 mentioned in the quoted post, and I believe it’s made a significant difference.
Might be worth trying it yourself to see if it helps with your battery issue.
