Always good get an idea how people are shaping up, even if we will all make another "few" drafts before deadline

Anyways settling on something like this the last while, decent forwards for the price and low budget def with .5 in bank still for Def/ GK, mids is where I think the points are and obviously no Haaland which I dont mind

    latest draft , be brutal

Looks like a GW 1 BB team which is good.

Don’t like the Silva (a lot of competition for places) or Saka (could lose pens and tough opening 6 fixtures).

Other than that I wouldn’t be put off owning any of them. Bowen obviously will have to do more now to score points as he’s now listed as a forward.

Presume with the new double chips. More will be on BBC GW1 now, that's my yearly punt hit a bit so.

Haven't even looked at a draft yet, first sights of teams were what I've seen above here.

Quick question: Does anyone know why Raheem Sterling isn't listed as either a Chelsea player or Arsenal player?

I reckon he'll end up at Fulham so am thinking he might be a good value MF but can't find him listed as a player no matter how I search.

I think it’s because he’s returning from loan and in my years playing this game anytime a player returns from loan back to their parent club, FPL normally take a while adding them into the game.

Anyone think gyrokeres will be a better option then Saka? Frees up a mid slot which thinks has more options for

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,292 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Arsenal’s fixtures get tougher after the first two so I think ARS assets may be a wait and see for a bit.

Preseason form will all be well and good but I’d want to see how they get on in the first six games before going there and having a gander at how Gyokeres adapts to the league.

If Gyokeres bangs three in in the first couple though that would answer that.

Yes is the short answer but like Scorpion said you’ll know for sure by GW 6 when their fixtures get better.

    Verbruggen Areola

RAN, MLS, De Cuyper, Reinaldo, Mykoleno

    Wirtz, Cunha, Marmoush, Caicedo, Tielemans

    Bowen, Haaland, Joao Pedro.

Relatively happy, but can't put my finger on what I am not sure about.

Banking on Salah veering closer to his second half of season form, and Haaland's motherboard refunctioning again.

Marmoush is one I'm not certain about, so much of his success lSt year was with haaland injured and foden out of form, can see that dynamic reverting to type thisbyear

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,585 ✭✭✭patmac

Haaland still not convincing and Foden an injury doubt Marmoush could be good.

Happy enough with this, if Salah flops I can downgrade him.

Toyed around with a no salah, no haaland. Looks nice but limited on C choice IMO

    More likely to go

I think if going without Salah or Haaland you need to have a player that’s playing against the worst team almost weekly.

Having a price point for a striker or midfielder that means you can swap to any player playing against Sunderland could be a good no Salah and no Haaland tactic.

Having no Salah or Haaland means you should have a very balanced 13-14 so no great need for weekly panic FT’s.

With a the chips and banking transfers, it worth it to take a risk at the start.. Am I taking to much rick wit little defence.

    1000050916.jpg

Decided to take money out of strikers and put it in Defenders. Strikers are getting less BPS this season and Defenders are getting extra points. Rotating between 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 solves the problem of having Guiu. Just have to figure out who to C GW1. Tempted by Saka with Binladen in goal for United, Ugarte and Casemiro likely to play. Otherwise ill probably go Watkins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,140 ✭✭✭Yeah Right

I think Watkins is flying under a lot of radars and hoping he gets off to a flyer so folks have to deal with price rises to get him in.

My current dilemma is 2 semi-proven performers vs 2 new entrants:

Trossard and Strand Larsen or Pedro and Reijnders

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,585 ✭✭✭patmac

Think I saw Trossard was flagged somewhere, any way I don't think he's a good pick. Agree with you about Watkins but feel you'd have to go Salah and Haaland less to accomodate him, which I'm really considering now.

Trossard very like to leave Arsenal by all accounts...

Cheap as chips defence, all in on the midfield. Forward line not locked in yet, could yet switch Fulkrug to Pedro, just hate how high his ownership is.

If the plan is to wildcard after 3 or 4 weeks id probably spend more aggressively drop at least one of the defenders down to a 4.

Drop beto his minutes not even be great to a 4.5

And upgrade grealish to a 7.5 or 8 and maybe one 4.5 defender to a 5

And if also be wary about losing team value on a early wildcard. Potentials to lose value easily are wan bissaka, dubracka, Beto and grealish no point messing with .1 .2 loses to early season volatility if you plan on wildcarding early
