Mortgage with ADHD(history of depression)

So I have a question. I'm 34 and recently read about ADHD and believe I have it. I'm waiting to see a doctor. For years I have been to psychiatrists about depression, tried suicide and medication and nothing helped.never knew why I was depressed either. Could ADHD have shown as depression.

My question is I am hoping to apply for a mortgage in the future but the issue will come up with life cover. If I do end up with an ADHD diagnosis will this be able to eliminate my history of depression and make me more likely to get my mortgage with a lower life cover amount
