Can no longer post in a thread but received no notification of this: technical problem?

    Hi,

I opened a thread a few days ago to discuss an employment tribunal in Scotland, here:

    volchitsaJul 25, 2025

The second and concluding part of an employment tribunal into women’s right to have single sex changing rooms is taking place in Edinburgh. The case began in February but was postponed until now after it became apparent that the hospital concerned had not made all the relevant evidence available, in particular many emails pertaining to the reasons for the nurse’s suspension.

The BBC’s coverage is scant and frankly often incomprehensible but the Scottish Herald is covering it live.

I’m travelling and on my phone so I’ll put up more information about the events later but todays live coverage and comment is fascinating.

I haven’t yet found how to share the Herald’s articles but there’s a special offer of 3 months sub for £1 which I’d recommend to anyone wanting to follow it.

For some reason the Reply button seems to have disappeared and even the Quote button doesn’t allow me to reply. Other posters seem to be able to post as usual.

I have received no notifications about this, and can reply to other threads in the same forum. Logging out and then back in hasn’t changed anything.

I presume there’s a technical issue, but I’ve no idea what it is. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Been trying to post this OP for hours, and it has finally now worked, so maybe the other technical problem has also disappeared. I’ll have a look.

ETA No joy. This is a link to the thread:

Ok so this seems to be sorted, at least temporarily. Here's a link to the other thread, with the info on how to delete the dodgy draft version(s) of a post that seem to have triggered the problem.

Posting it here in case someone with the same issue ever comes across this thread instead of the other one.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
