Frozen bottles of water, which melt over the weekend is the way to go. Keep a couple unfrozen for the first night. Litre /pint of milk if space in the cooler allows. Great if you're partial to a bowl of cereal, quick brekkie, keep you going for a bit in the morning, game changer! Couple of bags of ice to pack out the rest and for drinks 😎 Have a deadly weekend 🥳🥳🥳

People seriously need to give their heads a bit of a wobble. This should not be tolerated. Fk off to the very back if you want to sit. Don't look at me odd if I knock into your chair, ye spa.

Chairs have the potential to be a major danger if a crowd pushes forwards even small bit. Should be completely banned in the stage areas. Stick a blanket down early in the day in an relatively empty spot away from the stage but once a crowd forms it should be standing room only.

This is great to know. Hopefully it's enforced. Might be challenging given the lack of security checks between campsite and arena. But at least if gives everyone clarity/confidence when telling these selfish tits to gtfooh.

Jayzuz, would yez stop panicking, chairs have NEVER been an issue at ATN or EP, and I can't see that changing.

Is there 24 hour access to the car park from camping area? I am asking as have a pal who will enter with us Thursday, leave the site entirely on Saturday morning and return again late Saturday night. Do they block entry?

Can't remember specifically, but I remember having a great time. Think it was 80s onwards

Is this a new rule ? I don't remember it from previous years. Might make myself very unpopular by saying we have brought chairs the last couple of years. My dodgy knees would struggle for a whole weekend without them to be honest, but it's about common sense. I can't see why anyone would object to chairs in the afternoon at sparsely crowded stages unless I am missing something ? Once the big crowds arrive & it gets dark, then you get rid of them. I've never had any incidents or anyone have a moan at us.

Just back from Forest Fest, it's a great wee festival. Much (much!) older demographic but very nice crowd.

Don't see the issue with the chairs, wasn't that busy anywhere really.

The cover bands were good for a bit of craic as well.

Three days to recover now and of to ATN on Thursday 🕺🏼🎉

thanks jellybeano!! Your excitement is infectious (as if I needed any more!!)

Great tips and tricks, we’ve been doing the frozen water bottle thing with the cooler bags in previous years so will definitely do that with the cooler as well. We’ve never braved bringing any milk and hadn’t thought of that now with the cooler. A bowl of cereal and an iced coffee will be a right pick me up in the mornings without facing the vendor queues

    Have a deadly weekend yourself!!

Hi all, so my musts are: Baxter Dury, Trad Rave (brilliant at BTP), Nia Archives (on at the same time as Leftfield, but I’ve seen them a couple of times now), Biig Piig, Sean Kuti, John Grant, Max Cooper, Bicep, Special Request (after a recommendation on here), Anthony Szmierek, Michael Kiwanuka and Deep Dish (for nostalgia).

An eclectic mix I know…however, does anyone have similar taste and have other recommendations to check out? Can’t wait to discover some new music. The lineup is unreal.

Tetra pak milk cartons seem to melt slower and are square so can be useful too for your frozen water

We freeze all our uncarbonated drinks, which helps to keep everything cooler for longer. Obviously not beer and cider, but some of mixed cans (like vodka & cranberry) and capri suns, which are very refreshing in their slushy form the morning after a long festival day and night! :)

Folamour, Parra for Curva and Ben Bohmer would fit in nicely with your list there

Just listed family camping for resale on Ticketmaster if anyone is still looking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,261 ✭✭✭johnnykilo

Thanks, looks to be gone already though.

Stupid question but can the Family Camping Tickets be used for general entry? I'm looking for one for my friend, but if she buys a Family Camping ticket I presume she can just camp in the normal campsite with the rest of us?

Anyone get glamping pass email from podpads? I didn't buy them at the time of booking the tent for 6 of us. Ended up buying 3 a couple of weeks ago as others were sorting there own. Just got email with 6 codes for TM entry

There is literally no where to sit and chill at ATN. I dont blame anyone bringing chairs.

I took another spin out this afternoon and it's all flying up. I looked out my front door a few minutes ago and they seem to be testing out the lights. The excitement is building now.

same thing happened our gang, we're in a camper but rest of our crew are glamping. can we use the extras to get access to glamping area? might be handy to drop stuff off and go back later at night rather than lugging it about all day. not sure how these passes work?

work this week is going to draaaaaag. cant wait!!!

Any idea what’s the small tent beside the big tent (presumably big tent is the SKOW)

Also you can see the layout of the 2 podpads area now. Clears up any confusion from the various versions of maps.

I've just done this as the original booker for my group . Based on that, each of the 6 of you uses one of the 6 codes. There's a link in your email in teenchy font to the page where they individually enter their code. They'll receive their digital glamping pass via Tktbstard soon after. Maybe allocate a code to each person when forwarding them the email to click the link to enter code. The process is then like you're buying a ticket but the cost is zero, you just keep clicking through and confirm your email details etc., at the end you get a confirmation email that you have a boutique access ticket.

yes the new ‘old woods’ is a good walk to main arena but will suit some as it will be really close to your car if driving and should be quiet at night. Suits me as kids will find it easier to sleep. Last year I was in pods pads and randomly was literally about 100m from main arena entrance which was obviously very handy but meant we could hear the music full blast until 2am
