Renovation & Extension in Cork

    Hello!

Over the next year, I hope to purchase and renovate a family property. The property is based in Cork city area.

I hope to avail of the vacant property grant (house currently empty 2 years already), and hopefully SEAI grants. It's a 1960's bungalow.

My issue is, I am struggling to come across companies who would complete a full Reno & extension roughly 80-100m2. Or maybe I would be better to go the direct labor route but I worry this might be difficult with the 13 month time period.

I would love to hear other people's experiences in Cork, what did you do? Do you recommend anyone? And is there any good resources online which may help me?

    Any help is much appreciated.

Direct labour can be difficult if you don’t have the contacts. Lads go with the contractor first … the hand that feeds them and all that …
