Yes, but inside the cashier see's two different sales within seconds of each other one for €10 and another for €20. If I bought 50l of fuel and replaced the nozzle and moved the car. When I go in to pay another sale may have started at the pump but I say pump 6 and they take payment and never has the cashier said hold on, there is another 50l dispensed you have to pay for it. The next customer pays for that.

Pot enthusiast in the estate, their behaviour has made it clear it's a free doss house and has no interest in anything to do with the community.

As per last bank hol the community group put fliers in each house telling them about the new fee structure and when they would be knocking in to collect this money. These are well brought up church going ladies.

As it was a bank hol their house was heaving with god knows what odours, pot head opened their door and gave them such a contact high by curbside.

They could have saved themselves so much worry if they had bothered to read the half-sized page in the first place!!!!!!!!!!

As a motorcyclist, women are definitely worse in spatial awareness. A man will do something dangerous while knowing he is taking a risk, a woman will do something dangerous (to someone else) without even knowing that they are there. Gross generalisation I know, but there is plenty of truth in it.

What on earth does ANY of this actually mean?

It is incomprehensible from start to end.

Maybe the poster is smoking too much pot this morning 🤔

would be good to have this confirmed - you'd think the petrol stations would advertise this fact as it'd mean more throughput for them.

After a certain number of seconds with the nozzle replaced, the pump locks and won't pump again until the cashier presses a button which acknowledges the previous sale amount on the system

As if a bank holiday would mean anything to a true pothead! Every day is a bank holiday…

People holding up the queue at the till asking questions about how tabs work.

this would suggest that moving your car out of the way is of limited benefit, so? you might physically free up a spot in a queue, but the next motorist can't use the pump?

I actually do this when I'm getting coffee! Free up the pump for the next person, only thing is they can't pump until I pay.

I worked in a petrol station 20 years ago, and multiple people can use the same pump, run up say 3 different bills each, and we'd just knock that off one by one.

For example I'd ask, what pump the person was on, if it's pump 6, I can see there's three outstanding amounts here for example, let's say €20, €30 and €50

I'd ask how much they were paying for, I'd put that payment through and be left with the remaining two outstanding payments.

I'm sure the till systems have advanced a lot since then.

So moving your car after you've filled it, and allowing someone else to fills theirs before you've paid, could and was done 20 years ago.

Oh! I thought that you couldn't pay until the last person paid. Thanks for the education!

It's a shame, as others seemed to understand my point, but it still stands. If the smoker had any situational awareness, they wouldn't have drawn more attention to their bad behaviour or law-breaking to the absolute worst people possible.

They have a 9-5, so they mean a lot to the people involved, as it gives them so much more smoking time!

I read it several times and was baffled.

Was in a bar in Spain earlier this year watching a match, plenty of free tables. Young (early 20s) English couple sit down at table next to us maybe 2 feet apart. She asks for the wifi code straight away. Rings her father on Face Time, ten minute conversation out loud. Wifi wasn't working in the apartment he owned hence the call from the bar. She finishes call, grand.

She then rings her mother and has the exact same conversation (parents were separated) out loud on Face Time.

Do people not put the phone up to their ears anymore when having a phone call in public?

With regards Dunnes and 10 off when you spend 50 voucher. I've been caught where you have to decide what will I get to bring it over 50 so now I decide on a couple of items that if needed I will just go and get them.

Usually it's not a big issue most people will be gone a minute max but one time this person went to get an item or 2 to bring her over the limit. Gone a good 5 minutes at least, comes back with another basket, she discovered she had another voucher that required spending 25 euro extra to get 5 off and basically did another mini shop.

    One

This is why you strategically place your goods on the conveyor belt - so when it comes to packing, you receive your items in the correct order - no delay.

While I have recently quit for health reasons, I smoked for 20 years, and am a fully functioning respectable member of society with a good job, nice car, wonderful wife, and my own house.

These kind of generalisations are just stupid.

    It’s flippin nuts isn’t it! 🤣

I dunno I’m 43 years young and I just would be embarrassed to conduct such a public conversation like that.
    Maybe it’s just me!

Dunnes Stores is a zone in itself. My local one is like the zombie apocalypse unless you get there before 9.30 and forget about the weekends.

Unless you live in the middle of a field (Father Ted style) I'd say your neighbours were well aware. It stinks. I know someone who's plagued with the stench of it most of the day coming from the scummers nextdoor.

And the thing is they dont give a tupenny shite. The smokers I mean.

this today, 3 of them, having a consultation standing motionless at the drinks fridge for about 60 seconds about 8 inches from it, sealing it off and them looking at each other, all bewildered like if they were deciding to buy a house..a demeanour of “make the wrong choice and all is lost”. , all furrowed brows. In the end, after their consultation , they left with just one drink each, a coke, orange juice and a sports drink of some sort..…. I just opened the door, took out two coke zeros immediately and proceeded to the till. I knew what I wanted before I got there, 😨

Does anyone find its generally older people who block the path by an area in a supermarket?

Was in Dunnes yesterday and within the 1 trip there were 3 seperate instances of two older females(70+ year olds I'd say) blocking off something. Wanted to get to the milk and two of them blocking the entire isle with a trolley facing each direction.

Needed bread, exact same thing. At least the third time it was somewhere where I didn't need anything.

What is it with this crap that only "up themselves" young women do of holding the phone horizontally in front of their face with it on speaker? Are they not capable of holding it to their ear like a normal person?

But clearly you were not a true pothead. I mean, having other things in your life, what's that about?
