Another interesting article on Gaza, laying the blame on the UN's failure fo distribute aid in the area.

This was signalled months ago when some of the many aid agencies operating in Gaza indicated that they would refuse to cooperate with the new GHF agency.

A top IDF official met with leading UN bureaucrats regarding the issue on Tuesday, demanding to know how they could accuse Israel of causing famine in Gaza, which, again, has not happened yet but might shortly should the UN continue to abandon its trucks – while simultaneously leaving the aid trucks to sit there without distributing the food.

According to the senior IDF official, the UN bureaucrats sat quietly for at least 20 seconds, struggling to come up with a response. Eventually, one of them said that they would make more of an effort to get the trucks moving again, the IDF reported.

The IDF provided several reasons as to why the UN trucks have been sitting by the border. Some had to do with the UN’s refusal to abide by the IDF’s regulations about which products could go in and which could not, something that the IDF could alleviate by lowering its standards temporarily.

But other reasons concerned the UN’s unwillingness to move through certain areas that the IDF said were secure, but that the UN did not take its word for it, refusing to advance.

Could they possibly be concerned about Hamas?

Regarding the many photos and videos being distributed of sick Palestinian children with clear signs of malnutrition, the army said that many of these children have diseases unrelated to the state of food in Gaza, and that others are the same child being reused in different contexts.

Obvioulsy will be ignored as the only source of info permitted around here is Hamas approved propganda.

So it's everyone else's fault except Israel. Given you take issue with propaganda it's strange that you're posting IDF propaganda to refute reality. Well, I say strange but with you and the rest of them it's par for the course.

It was just a question Mo Chara. I haven't seen a picture of an adult looking close to death due to starvation. So was wondering the different affects famine can have. That's all

I'm providing you with information that some Aid Agencies, including the UN, have had their noses put out of joint by having their distribution operations usurped by the GHF, and that rather than fulfill their mandate to distribute aid to hungry people would prefer to engage in a p***ing contest the with the Israeli's over distribution territorial rights.

You should be enraged by this, but the usual maxim, 'NO Jews, NO News', as ever, dictates your response.

Ah yes, and the accusation of anti-Semitism is casually thrown about already because you lack the ability to defend your own defense of the indefensible.

You get used to it. The real problem is that trolling often can be very hard to seperate from peoples honest actual views.

My ignore list has grown to 10%, mainly genocide cheerleaders on this thread

Ah yes! The accusation of "The accusation of anti-Semitism" casually thrown about because you lack the ability to absorb information contary to your one sided perspective that the Jews may not actually be the bad guys.

The Journalist, far more informed than you, provided a version of reality you simply cannot handle, so you choose, as always, to simply ignore it.

This is bloody ridiculous. The IDF banned UNRWA and have just kicked out the top UN official Whittal. They assumed control of 'aid' together with the yanks as GHF. The UN are blocked from entering Gaza. All aid agencies have been supplanted.

This is blatantly transparent Israeli government propaganda. If you believe it, you really are a sheepyysheep.

There's one nasty, pathetic individual on this thread who will have the honour of being my first ignore.

Well, you are the one who actually accused me of anti-Semitism, twice now. As usual with you lot, you are nowhere near as clever as you think you are. Continue on either trolling or reveling in the deaths of Palestinians, it's clearly pointless engaging with you whichever is motivating you.

The real problem is that trolling often can be very hard to seperate from peoples honest actual views.

interesting you should say this. This is a quote from you on OCT 7th 2023 as Hamas were knee deep in the blood of Jews.

A quote that reveals your actual honest views.

They've been battering the Palestinians in the West Bank all year, with over 60 kids killed. Fair play to Hamas for stepping up to the mark, unlike the corrupt Fatah organisation.

You are a consistant and unrepentant antisemitic Hamas supporter, hiding behing a veil of euphemisms, tropes, lies, falsehoods and mistruths to fuel the blatent antisemitism that has infested this thread from the start.

That one line lays you naked for all to see.

While every normal person was struggling to come to terms with the horror of that day, you were lapping it up, delighted, triumphant, gleeful. Says it all really.

A load of bollocks. That post was made before it was known that civillians were targeted.

We should form an club - "Sheepys anti-semites".

Its hard to believe people like the poster you have quoted exist. Beyond evil

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,798 ✭✭✭Frank Grimes

I was going to suggest that the poster goes back through my 23 years of posts and point to a single anti-Semitic remark I have made (spoiler: never, I've literally called out anti-Semites over the years) but no doubt they will dig up something I posted about something being good value in Aldi and suggest I was motivated by anti-Semitism to post it. For people who claim to take issue with anti-Semitism, they are doing a good job of devaluing the term by throwing it around like confetti. But no doubt, that's just me being anti-Semitic.

Honestly, I'm sick of this likely trolling and these baseless accusations you are making about me. I don't care what you think or say, you're either trolling or just agree with the ethnic cleansing, and potential genocide, that's taking place in Gaza. Whatever motivates you to posts these accusations, I am not going to bother engaging with you further as it just risks legitimates the filth you are posting.

The so called 'Live Aid' famine was by far and away the biggest (over 1m deaths).

You were referring to the much more recent Tigray famine, but that happened within the context of a civil war (not comparable to Gaza at all) - not much outside countries and forces can do when two rival factions within a country decide to go to war with each other, even when war crimes are being committed.

More appropriately, perhaps, you could form a support club, "We all support Hamas, but have difficulty expressing it in public".

You could call yourselves 'The Hamas Dog-whistlers association'.

I see you're back and deflecting the blame as much as you can. The cause of the famine and genocide is Israel. They sidelined the UN and other Aid agencies who were doing their best and they did it to cause exactly what is happening.

    I'm not deflecting anything.

Does it not upset you that the UN are sitting on Aid and not distributing it? If you'd read the article you would have seen that some of those trucks were moved the next day.

If someone denies the Holocaust took place Jews take umbrage. Fairly so. However many Jews are denying their is a genocide in Gaza. Yet the unholy triad of Ben Ghvir, Smodrich and Netanyahu are seeking to clear Gaza of Palestinians through killing and starvation. We have the British Jewish author Tom Bower taking umbrage at the use of the word genocide. He was having a discussion with another English born Jewish podcaster. Bower is a well regarded author and highly intelligent. It's simply extraordinary he cannot bring himself to acknowledge what is happening.

Thankfully the world sees what is happening and is reacting. The refusal to let the Israeli cruiseship dock in Syros is a prime example of people showing their outrage. I don't know if some Israeli's have brass necks, are in denial or are so convinced they are the chosen people that the death of Palestinians is inconsequential. I can't figure it out.

The only mercy is that Israel has put it's own neck in the noose by her actions. It is unlikely to exist in 20 years time. It's people should they stay will be assimilated into a greater Palestine if the Palestinians will allow them considering the genocide.

Only one side refusing food to the starving people and that's Israel. Even murdered over 1,000 waiting for aid.

And your friend David Mencer will end up in The Hague with the rest of his buddies. Murdering ****.

Not true : Israel are the colonial occupying power and Palestine (including Gaza) is living under their authority and rule.

That is not comparable to a civil war situation. Palestinians are looking for independence and autonomy for their own region only, not to take over Israel and install a Palestinian government in Tel Aviv.
