based on what i've heard and seen of them, that can only be a good thing!

Getting very agitated with excitement now. Good few annoying clashes but a well packed schedule already. Not wanting to jinx it or anything but this is a pretty brilliant line up. Dry Cleaning at the Circle could be a sneaky highlight.

I have same feeling . Saw leftfield 26 years ago and few times since and would like to bring an 9&11 year old with me but it might be a touch too late. We are going to try and watch all
Fontaines so might let them see first 15mins Of

Leftfield if they are still awake!

See this is why I leave the kids at home and do the whole weekend the way I want to do it! Don't want to be worrying about who's falling asleep or if I want to have a bit of a mosh and then have to listen to the wife because I stepped on the 5 year old!

Now that the schedule is out if anyone got tickets to 'The Great Oven Disco Cantina Banquets by Tang' but can't go now because of a lineup clash can you consider DM'ing me please as I would like to buy them off you (now sold out) - thanks

ah I loved having the kids there last year and anyway I’m lucky that my better half will be more than happy to take them back to the tent and leave me to rave and mosh about for as long as I can manage

Must be great having parents into music.. Only thing I ever heard as a kid was Tina Turner.

I'm up for it. I'm just curious what they fill the time with.

love bringing our kids to gigs, some of their happiest memories, but festival’s are where we draw the line. Selfishly, that weekend in ATN is myself and my wife’s only time to let loose. I appreciate all who bring their kids to it. It’s encouraged to be a family friendly weekend and a great experience for them.

I do, however, have an issue with young kids being out and about late at night. I’ve previously seen toddlers dragged in trolleys/baby’s carried with ear muffs in the main arena after midnight. With adults partaking in various drinks/substances, it really isn’t the place for them. As I say, don’t want to sound like kids shouldn’t be there, but there’s probably a certain time they should be back safe in the tent!

the 24 cans thing - some cans are only 330ml and some are 568ml (like sierra nevada) - big difference in the amount of alcohol you can bring in there!

on the 1 litre of spirits, since they need to be decanted out of the glass bottles I am thinking if you had a pouch that could fit say 1.2 litres how would they know, they hardly measure or weigh them?

What size tents have people got away with next to campers? Thinking of bringing a 4 man 2 room tent would that be too big?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 155 ✭✭Dunph

I'm 90% sure I saw tents that size up all weekend. if it fits between your camper and the next one without encroaching into the clear space between each row you'll probably get away with it, unless they go stricter this year.

Give me a spot for general camping that is a nice blend of close to the arena and likely to be quiet for a sleep . All opinions welcome

Hi all, does anyone know if it's possible to transfer/sell on a Podpads booking? I'm looking forward to the festival but unfortunately there's a possibility that I won't be able to go - I probably won't know until the day it starts. I know I'd be able to sell the ticket handy enough but I'd like to get a few quid back for the tent too!

You can't transfer back to Podpads and the booking is non-tranferrable, but you could sell to someone by giving them your booking reference and name. Podpads don’t check that i.d. matches booking name. But you might have trouble selling now, even if you drop the price. Zero chance if trying on the day itself though I'd say.

There is people on toutless looking for glamping but yeh you won't be selling them for your money back if you wait until the Thursday

I know it's commented on every year but the main stage kicking off at 3/4PM is a joke, whatever about the Friday, but on the Saturday & Sunday there should be act on that stage from lunchtime onwards. They could easily pout acts on there from 12/1PM onwards.

    Yeah, never understood that either.

Wasn't a problem the first year with midday starts on Saturday and Sunday (according to ClashFinder anyways)..

I only started going the second year (2019), although Soak started lunchtime on the Sunday the second year.

sound checks only finish around 12. Staff need breaks before the long day ahead.
8 stages have music/comedy on from 12pm on Sarurday and Sunday. Plenty of options to enjoy in the afternoon.

First ATN having years of EP, looking forward to a smaller situation after EP exploded in the last few years. Got an email this morning from Pod Pads, one of the glamping options, saying not to forget to buy glamping passes for each of the tent occupants (@ 10e a head). I can't fathom this at all - are they saying I need to buy glamping passes to access the tent I have already bought? It looks like a kind of shakedown - I actually thought it was a phishing attack initially! Reading around it looks like it was introduced last year - could someone who glamped last year tell me how it works?

    Thanks:-)

    yes its legit.

you need a pass to use the access from the glamping site to the music site. €10 per person.

A PITA but something that was well advertised in advance to be fair. When purchasing your boutique camping it was very clear that you needed a pass as well, and you would have to actively chosen not to purchase it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 801 ✭✭✭antfin

They may have been included on your initial order so check that first. It's usually an option at the time of purchase and you probably added it without noticing. It will be a seperate line itemthe same as the damage deposit.

Its the first year they are doing the "Glamping Pass" I think I bought mine while I bought the Glamping don't know know if you had the option not to, it said while buying you have to have this pass too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 708 ✭✭✭Blackie_IRL

Yes, introduced last year. You'll need to purchase. At some stage late this week or early next week you'll then get emailed unique codes and a link for ticketmaster, each person in your group gets a code, you plug it into TM and get a barcode to save into your wallet. You can't get into campsite without it.

So with the release of the app and map, have we any options for an IPA or even a Hop House? Also looks like the Bailey's bar is gone, sadly. A nice cold glass of Baileys with ice was always a nice treat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 82 ✭✭Magulok

Yeah that Baileys bar is going to be missed. RIP. I'm hoping they have Hop House on tap somewhere atleast.. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,351 ✭✭✭Phibsboro

Thanks for that - I checked the original order and I don't have it. I do have a vague recollection of this from the ordering process but I think I assumed that a 3 person tent order would include 3 glamping passes but alas no! Such a odd little shakedown - further reading suggests Pod Pads are blaming Aiken Productions. I wonder if Aiken wanted it to control access to the glamping car park. Either way, I'd lay odds those passes will be 50 quid within a few years 😁

On the PodPads, just to be clear, the 10 euro pass is on the PodPads purchase receipt, not the ticketmaster weekend camping ticket.

Yes that is where I was looking - I had the tent and the damage deposit but no passes. In a way I'm amazed I was able to buy the tent at all without having any passes - you have to imagine there was more than a few last year who turned up without a pass.
