Limerick things to do with 5yr old son

My five year old has been acting out a lot and I think he's starting to feel lonely because he know has to younger siblings and isn't getting as much attention as he used to and I can't be as much of a buddy to him as I used to anymore. I'm taking the day off work tomorrow to have a nice fun day out with him but now that I think about it I have no idea where to go. We live in Limerick near enough to the city but would consider any of the surrounding counties. Is there any cool things to do that he would love while hanging out with his dad?

I would have said KidsTown as well, or maybe a swim in Grove Island. Loads of good playgrounds around if the weather is any way good (Mungret, Castletroy, Sean-Choill, Castleconnell, Cratloe Woods, Newport, etc).

The trampoline place is meant to be very good.

Anyone know if that mini golf place is still open near Ballysimon?
