    Someone mentioned €16 to me at the weekend for WB straw.

    I suppose it will vary depending on the bales. Some will be decent and some will be like puff balls. The tillage lads don't do themselves any favour's either. They have a good market for straw each year but they make it hard work of trying to buy from them.

    The price won't settle till the end of the harvest, it will all depend on the weather for the next 6 weeks

    spring crops are coming in fast. The next dry spell it’ll be getting cut .

    Told today of a bit of spring barley brought into a drier in kildare last week. Never seen it so early, he didn't know yield or moisture. Apparently the spring crops have recovered from looking very shook at the start of the year. Have all the straw home now.
