    Hello,

My sister in law is trying to organise a surprise trip for my brother to the Grand Prix next year. Can anyone advise on campsites near the circuit? is it possible to travel from the Barcelona city centre on the day of the Grand Prix? Is it worth going out to the circuit on the Friday and Saturday before the Grand Prix?, is there music/events on while the Friday/Saturday evening /night before the grand prix.Does Barcelona sell individual day tickets to the Grand Prix, or do you have to buy the 3-day package. Would love to hear from others who have gone previously.

    Many thanks

    Pat

Hi Pat. I would give the same advice as I gave in another thread and suggest reading this website. It's very comprehensive

    https://f1destinations.com/spanish-f1-travel-guide/

I was there myself pre Drive to Survive, so wasn't as much fanfare at races as there is now. There wasn't any music or entertainment really apart from some old memorabilia and other F1 related stuff. That could have changed.

Id recommend staying in the city and travelling out, there is a bus that goes both ways but there is a long wait after the race on Sunday. If the person is interested in F1, then defo go on Saturday for qualifying. Fridays are generally more relaxed and nice to do but not necessary if tight for time.

Often individual tickets for Sunday are not much cheaper that a 3 day ticket. Can't recall exactly for Spain
