Yeah, curious to know the details.

It hard be difficult practically to have different tariffs/sanctions on different EU members given that it's a single trading block.

Very easy to sell your goods via a neighboring country.

Either way it won't affect what happens on the battlefield where all this will be decided one way or another.

Lol. You've been banging on and on about Russian gains, cauldrons and advances for ages now. The rubber band about to snap any time now is it? When you zoom up on the map to any degree you see how utterly pathetic Russia's military has performed. A kilometer here, a field or small destroyed village there.

Face it. If Russia could have simply broken through Ukrainian lines and made meaningful gains they'd have done it already. They've almost completely exhausted their stockpile of usable armor. That won't be coming back, they have no ability to replace it any time soon. And Ukrainian FPV drone production is through the roof.

The fact that you've decided to hone in on the topic of the energy sanctions being a bad idea for the west somehow tells me all I need to know. Just like how Putin shites on and on about how sanctions aren't working and are only hurting the west. Yet what's at the tippy top of their list for ceasefire preconditions every time they speak? A hit dog will holler. And here you are hollering. So thanks for that.

This battle will be decided when the Russian economy implodes. Not by piddling battlefield gains. Will Russian men be willing to throw their bodies at FPV drones 1000 times a day when there isn't any roubles waiting for them back home? I doubt it.

One would get totally lost when reading all the post here for the last , is it , three years . You would wonder who started it, ; who really wants peace, which side is committing the most atrocities, arguments about the no of deaths, comparison to Israel etc, etc, etc, etc. posts are full of Whataboutary, Deflections, BIAS Opinions, reasons , such as suppressing the Russian language in parts of Ukr as to the cause of the SMO , etc, etc, etc.

BUT why is it necessary to post on specific ‘facts’/‘aspects’ of the SMO. T he only fact that needs to be stated is :- did Russia , UNILATERALLY, go to war with another soverign state that DID nOT provoke it IN AaNY WAY or not? ?????????????????? . Answer on a postcard with a yes or a no.

    Speak of the Ogre…

Ukraine rejects accusation by Hungary over fatal beating of dual citizen | AP News

Someone's telling lies and, based on past performance, I'm pretty sure I know who I'd be putting my money on. But of course this is the unchallenged news that Hungarians are now getting fed today.

When you consider the determined, systematic, unashamed attacks on the media under the Trump administration, accusations by Friends of Russia on this site that Western media cannot be trusted really grates with me. Every country's media will have its faults, but consider the biggest news stories over the past 75 years, consider world events that have been shaped by the media, consider all the atrocities that have been documented and reported on by the world's media - at great risk to the liberty and wellbeing of those journalists… and then ask yourself from which countries most of those journalists come from and what kind of press freedoms are enjoyed there.

Its a disgusting attempt to render the free press redundant so that citizens will no longer look to unattached media for reporting and will instead be happy to be fed whatever the algorithms that the ruling party wants fed.

Try being a free, independent media organisation in Russia, Belarus, China, Saudi Arabia and see how you get on. Then you can bash the BBC

Trump playing both sides against each other by announcing that Ukraine will get US arms but that they'll be handing them over to NATO who will distribute them.

US are seen to be helping Ukraine and he's also playing up to the 'NATO started the war' narrative.

Your posts contain all the elements of standard Russian propaganda talking points - there's literally a Boards bingo card for them

Previously Putin apologists and supporters were dealt with quickly here, but the thread has been wide open for quite awhile now for anyone to post in

On the rare occasion a new poster comes in with these types of views they will typically:

    • Claim to be a victim
    • Claim it's an echo chamber
    • Project that other posters are victims of propaganda
    • Blame the mods, site, etc.

Like what happened Russia's partitipation in WW1 was decided on the battlefield ?

Like what happened Russia's occupation of Afghanistan was decided on the battlefield ?

    Decided by revolution ……

Into Alex Jones territory with crisis actors, maybe the same ones from Sandy Hook?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,313 ✭✭✭thatsdaft

Never understood why they even try the whole “crisis actor” nonsense, do they actually think we are as stupid as Russians themselves who seem to swallow this nonsense?

The web is flooded with videos of Russian military personnel abusing and humiliating their own soldiers

Hell there’s even the infamous Wagner sledgehammering of their own

If that’s how they treat their own fellow comrades is it any surprise that there are continual examples of abuse and atrocities against civilians and prisoners of war

They aren't processing information normally. They've been (self) indoctrinated that US/NATO/West/Ukraine/whoever are the equivalent of comic book supervillains, which is why they'll accept almost anything that validates that world view, including ridiculous stuff.

They have upscaled capacity for weapons production hugely. Nato supreme commander Cavoli also mentioned this in April but we are led to believe that they are fighting with shovels.

Exactly this. Actual students of history and warfare will tell you that although the battlefield is naturally an important element to any war, the deciding factor of who prevails is decided behind the lines with the states involved trying to outlast eachother.

I’ve made this point before, but if we used the logic of our resident Kremlin apologist, then the Soviet Union should have surrendered to Nazi Germany in 1941. They were pushed back on all fronts, therefore the war had been settled on the battlefield and the Soviets should have just given up. But that isn’t what happened. The Soviets kept chugging along (with a load of Allied support) and eventually the German war machine & state began to run out of the means needed to keep themselves in the fight. That is when the tide started to turn, and how a push on Moscow became a push on Berlin.

But Kremlin apologists don’t want you to pay attention to the lessons of history, they want to look at concerning Cauldrons around remote Ukrainian bombed out hamlets and for you to give up hope on Ukraine’s survival. That is the goal of our apologist friend who despite their concern actually dream of a day when Russian tanks roll down the streets of Kiev and of a day where they can be more open about their support of Russia (as if we didn’t already know).

But many of the rest of us are civilised people with eyes and consciences, we know what is happening is wrong and that is why we support the Ukrainian. As for our apologist friend…I hope the ghosts of slain Ukrainian innocents haunt your sleep until the end of time.

Original design and batches came direct from the peace loving Islamic “republic” of Iran

Lately manufactured in Russia using imported North Korean and African labour with Iranian and Chinese parts paid by proceeds of oil sales to likes of India and China

Cauldrons have always been a form of Russian doctrine. Take for example the one that was pointed out in it's obvious early stages a couple of months ago.

What they always do is to leave a gap to escape because more attrition is inflicted on a retreating army than a defending one.

A highly recommended site to get a realistic understanding of the ongoing conflict @suriyakmaps

They have consistently give a true reflection of what is going on and any mistakes are quickly rectified as opposed to a lot of misinformation going around.

It's remarkable reading posts that parrot Kremlin propaganda, as loyalty to Ruzzia usually only ends up in a fall from a window. They should be careful what they wish for.

Can I suggest that people not engage with the filth on this thread who support this sort of thing and get their jollies from it. Just ignore, please.

Exactly. It ruins the thread debating with these paid Patsy's. Just ignore and keep the thread for updates and info

Does ruZZia produce anything useful other than weapons of mass destruction? By useful, I mean anything that any other country would care to buy, because I have never seen a consumer item for sale that read, 'Made in ruZZia'. I think it was David McWilliams who once characterised ruZZia as a filling station with a farm attacahed to it. Granted, the Soviets do have some innovations to their name, not many but some. However, since 1991 what have the ruZZians given humanity other than death and destruction?
