Putter fitting

I am interested in getting a putter fitting ideally in the Dublin or sth Dublin area, ideally with trackman or equivalent and where there is space for both short and long (20' +) or lag putting and even better on a grass putting surface. Putting mats in a shop have limited value and, as mentioned elsewhere, I question if there are built in slopes that might make you think you are Seve. I am not a bad putter but would like to improve and would welcome someone with an educated eye that would confirm I am using a putter/neck style suited to my stroke or point me in a different direction. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Most McGuirks stores now have a Quintec putter fitting available in store. Definitely worth a start.

I do not work for McGuirks by the way 😃

Thanks neckedit. I tried McGuirkes but very limited space. I can knock in 4/5 foot puts most of the time on a perfect surface but could not try pace putting on longer puts. I beleive they have Quintec in Leopardstown (focus on Odyssey) and Blanchardstown (use whatever is in stock). I am interested in a Scotty fitting, particularly to home in on the neck type that would best suit my stroke. Is there anywhere in the country that can provide a current model Scotty fitting?

The information you would get from a fitting in mcguirks would be transferable into any putter range.

ROC Golf in Antrim definitely do what you're looking but not sure where in the country you are.

I got fitted last year for a Scotty with them but after a few months using it at the start of this season i just can't get used to the milled face so i'm back in my old Spider.

The Scotty makes for a lovely ornament 🤣

Is buying a Scottie at this stage not just an exercise in buying a brand over buying a putter that will actually help your game?

Possibly..I was gifted a voucher for a big birthday so I decided to treat myself to one. Has it improved/disapproved my putting? Wouldn't think so. Do I love it..100%

Gavin Lunny up in Dun Laoghaire is a good option too. Full Scotty ping and odyssey range and a few more brands

Thanks all. I have had a 2 hour Scotty putter fitting with Gavin Lunny in Dun Laoghaire golf club which I found informative and useful. He advised that my stroke had an arc and that a model with a plumbers or jet neck best suited my stroke. I have several Scotty putters and have been using face balanced models. He suggested I use either a Squareback 2 model I have with a plumbers neck or fastback 5.5 with a jet neck and did not suggest I buy a new model. Big change for m but I have stuck with it for the past few weeks and on one day had my best putting round of the year… 26 puts incl 1 3put… mind you my chipping was on point on the day but nevertheless I thought it showed promise so will stick with it for the moment.

There is an odyssey fitting studio in Mount Juliet. Recently got fit there, very enjoyable and putter going very nicely so far.
